RCB vs GT Live Update: In the current season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), 2022, the pacer for the Gujarat Titans, Mohammed Shami, has expressed his opinion that his team’s captain, Hardik Pandya, has shown an extraordinary amount of maturity as a leader. They claimed the victory against the reigning champions, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on May 15. The Titans established themselves as the first team to clinch a spot in the top two of the points table.
Shami commended Hardik for his ability to maintain control of his emotions while serving as the captain of GT. He said that he has evolved as a person as a result of his promotion to captain of the team. Shami also drew comparisons between Hardik and other Indian greats, including MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, and Rohit Sharma.
I have cautioned him to keep his emotions under control while he is captaining: Mohammed Shami
After their match against CSK, the veteran pacer had an open interaction with the press where he discussed the guidance that he had given to their captain, Pandya. “Since he (Hardik) took over as captain, he has grown more composed. The intensity of his responses has decreased (mellowed). I have cautioned him to keep his emotions under control on the pitch since cricket is watched by people from all around the globe. As a leader, it is really necessary to be reasonable and grasp the conditions. He has played that job to perfection,” Shami said.
“Hardik Pandya is credited with maintaining the cohesiveness of the squad. As the captain of the team, I have seen a lot of changes in him compared to when he was only a player. Each captain has a personality that is unique to them. Understanding Mahi (Dhoni) that’s thinking is not rocket science. Virat was aggressive, and Rohit led according to match scenarios. Hardik leads according to match situations,” Shami said.
