UCL 2021/22 Final: Sergio Aguero has identified the player who, in his opinion, will be the deciding factor in the Champions League final that will take place on May 28 between Real Madrid and Liverpool. He thinks that Real Madrid’s Luka Modric, who plays in the middle of the field, would be the player to keep an eye on throughout the match at the Stade de France.
In a conversation with Stake, the former Argentina striker received the question of what he thought would be the deciding factor in the final match in Paris. Aguero’s response was as follows:
“Modric is an important player to keep an eye on since he consistently plays a vital role in situations like this. He is a very important player, but especially so in the finals. His distribution is top-notch. He makes the decision to win. His shooting is precise, in particular when performed from a medium distance.”
Luka Modric received the 2018 Ballon d’Or after leading Real Madrid to their fourth Champions League title in the last five years. Additionally, he assisted Croatia in reaching the final of the World Cup in Russia. They played and ultimately lost to France.
Even though he is 36 years old, the veteran central midfielder continues to be an essential component of Carlo Ancelotti’s team. He seems to be growing better with age. During the current campaign, he has made 43 appearances for Los Blancos and has contributed 12 assists.
As Real Madrid pursues a record 14th European championship, it seems that Modric will start with Toni Kroos and Casemiro in the match at the Stade de France.
Aguero makes a prognostication on who will win the Champions League final between Liverpool and Real Madrid
Aguera was also asked which team he thought would have the upper hand in the match that will take place in Paris this coming weekend. He responded as follows:
“Real Madrid is a club that has been around longer than Liverpool. But Liverpool has performed well in the Champions League over the last few years. Real Madrid is the more experienced club overall. It will be a competitive match. But I believe Madrid will have more self-assurance since they have been to the finals before and have won despite facing adversity in the past. That is the side that I can predict to win.”
Aguero’s prediction for UCL 2021/22 Final:
Aguero has claimed that the history of Real Madrid is beneficial to the players and will play a role in the championship game. He said:
“The balances are tipped in one direction by history and experience. It is evident in Madrid’s success in both of their home legs, with the Bernabeu playing a significant role. However, because it will take place on neutral ground, the final may be more fair.”
He added:
“There have been a lot of fantastic teams for Real. This one is no different. The club as a whole carries its weight in addition to the individual performances that take place at each moment. The significance of history is brought into sharper focus when players are made aware of the fact that it does not matter which team they are playing for.”
