Arsenal is Set To Sign The Spectacular £50M Star to Replace Nicolas Pepe

Arsenal is Set To Sign The Spectacular £50M Star to Replace Nicolas Pepe

Pedro Neto, an attacker for Wolves, is reportedly in talks with Arsenal to join the Gunners. The young Portuguese player is the Gunners’ top choice to replace Nicolas Pepe.

The Athletic says that Arsenal has been talking to the player and his agent, Jorge Mendes, for more than a month. But even though the north London team is definitely interested, Wolves have no plans to let the winger leave Molineux this summer.

Reports say that Neto could cost as much as £50 million this summer. So Arsenal might have to pay a lot to get him. The 22-year-old has played every minute of Premier League football for Wolves this season under Bruno Lage. He has gotten the most out of the attacker so far.

Arsenal is very much interested in Pedro Neto

Neto is good on both the right and left wing. So, he can play anywhere in the attacking front three. The former Lazio player is exactly what Arsenal needs this summer as a wide-attacking option. They only have three senior wingers on their roster.

Gabriel Martinelli and Emile Smith Rowe are Mikel Arteta’s main options on the left wing. Bukayo Saka is the Gunners’ only player on the right wing now that Pepe is going to OGC Nice on loan. Reiss Nelson is injured and won’t be able to play for a few months.

In fact, with the UEFA Europa League coming up and the new five-substitution rule in the Premier League, Neto could be a very useful addition to Arsenal’s team if they sign the young Portuguese player. However, the Gunners may have to spend a lot of money to get the Wolves star this summer.

Will the transfer go through?

Tim Sherwood has called Neto an “outstanding” talent. He would be the perfect last signing for Arsenal this summer. However, Wolves’ position on the versatile forward means that Arsenal may have to match or even go above the reported £50 million price tag for the 22-year-old.

Neto has been a regular for Wolves this season and keeps getting better every year with the West Midlands team. With so little time left in the transfer window, Arsenal could have a hard time getting the winger this summer.
