Jarrod Bowen has been a revelation since joining West Ham United from Hull City during the January window of 2020. So far, he has played 94 league games for the London-based club, registering 21 goals and 21 assists.
He won the West Ham United Player of the Season accolade last season. His performances at the London Stadium also caught the attention of Gareth Southgate, who handed him his international debut in June 2022. He has represented his nation four times since making his debut. Bowen is also in contention for making it to the Three Lions’ final squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup.
Jarrod Bowen ignores his girlfriend for playing FIFA 23
West Ham star Jarrod Bowen has his priorities sorted upon returning home from international duty. While many expected him to spend time with his beautiful girlfriend Danu Dyer, he chose to play FIFA 23.
Tiktok star Dani Dyer posted a video on her account to complain about his boyfriend ignoring her to play FIFA 23. His post captioned: “So excited to see my boyfriend, but Fifa 23 had other plans for me.” FIFA 23 will officially release on September 30. However, few have been granted early access, including Premier League players. Being a West Ham United player gave him access to play the game early. According to the FIFA Index, Bowen has a rating of 79 and a potential of 82 in FIFA 23.
David Moyes risks losing his job if results don’t improve
The London outfit were among the Premier League’s highest spenders this summer, with an outlay of £163.80 million. Lucas Paqueta, Gianluca Scamacca, Nayef Aguerd, Maxwel Cornet, Emerson, Thilo Kehrer, Flynn Downes and Alphonse Areola arrived at the London Stadium during the recently concluded transfer window.
However, their excellent performances in the transfer market failed to help them yield results on the pitch. They have endured a difficult start to the season, winning just one of their opening seven games. The Hammers’ poor showings on the pitch have put pressure on manager David Moyes.
According to the Mirror, the former Manchester United manager is fighting to avoid his sacking at the London Stadium. The Scot slammed his players after losing 1-0 to Everton earlier this month. Speaking to the media, he said: “I found out little bits, mainly about the players I already knew about. They were the players in the main who let me down with their play overall. The players who played last year are down on their level as well. We had shown signs we were getting back to it but I don’t think we did here.”
David Moyes has completely transformed the Hammers since taking charge in 2019. The Hammers finished in the top half of the Premier League table in the last two seasons. Moyes also led the London outfit to the semi-finals of the UEFA Europa League last term. The Scot will look to turn things around at the London Stadium in the coming weeks. He will next lead his troops against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the league on October 1.
