Serie A giants Reports say that Juventus wants to sign Gabriel Magalhaes from Arsenal at the end of this season
Gazzetta dello Sport said in a story that was picked up by Sport Witness that Juventus wants to improve their defense at the end of the season. And the big club in Serie A have a list of players they want to sign, including Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes.
The 24-year-old moved to Arsenal from the French team Lille in 2020. He has become one of Mikel Arteta’s most important players. Gabriel and William Saliba have worked well together at the back this season.
So it would be very strange if Arsenal decided to sell the Brazilian player soon. The Brazilian hasn’t reached his best yet, and he’s likely to get better. Both Saliba and Gabriel are expected to lead Arsenal’s defense for the foreseeable future. Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have been interested in Saliba.
Gabriel Magalhaes leaving Arsenal?
But a report from Gazzetta dello Sport (via Sport Witness) says that Juventus wants to sign Gabriel Magalhaes and a few other players this summer. It will be interesting to see if the big teams in Serie A follow through on their interest and make a real offer in the coming months.
Arsenal don’t need money right now. So it might be hard for Juventus to get them to sell the 24-year-old. Also, the Gunners have gotten much better over the past few months,. They are now on top of the Premier League table.
Arteta wants Arsenal to win the league title. So he can’t sell his best players. If the Gunners are going to reach their goals, Arteta can’t sell his best players.
Gabriel is a great defender, so there’s no question that Juventus made a great long-term choice when they signed him. But so far this season, he hasn’t been at his best. Even though he sometimes plays well, he often makes mistakes. The defender hopes that with time, he will be able to fix these problems.
What’s next for Juventus?
Even though Juventus is a good team, they are currently getting worse. So it wouldn’t make sense for the player to leave Arsenal for them. So, just like when Juventus wanted Gabriel last summer, it doesn’t seem likely that the Brazilian will move.
Arsenal has made it to the next round of the Europa League and is close to achieving another goal. Granit Xhaka scored the game-winning goal 19 minutes from the end. This was enough to beat PSV Eindhoven, whose manager, Ruud van Nistelrooy, is an old rival.
PSV Eindhoven fought awkwardly at first but gave up when they were put under a lot of pressure. It means that Mikel Arteta’s team still has a perfect record in Group A. They need one point from their last two games to finish first and avoid having to play an extra round of playoffs in February.
