As Her last act before Her passing, the Queen helped instate a new Prime Minister. It was time for a woman to take charge. In came Liz Truss. Whether she would be able to live up to expectations or not, was a challenge in itself. However, the people hoped that Truss could get the job done.
An individual who called herself a fighter who doesn’t quit, her reign as prime minister lasted for a grand total of 45 days, after which even she resigned. So in a country that normally frowns upon its population of color, Rishi Sunak is the latest to assume the position of Prime Minister, and is the first-ever Prime Minister of color. What makes the UK come full circle is that Sunak is a Person of Indian origin (PIO), which saw a lot of Indians see the lighter side of it.

So much so that people have used Nehra’s picture to send their congratulations to Sunak. While some have called Sunak and Nehra as brothers estranged in the Kumbh Mela. While some have expressed that Nehra was looking for a new challenge after winning the IPL with debutants Gujarat Titans.

It needs a strong mind to lead them out of this quagmire. And the people will be desperately hoping that he is the man to lead them to the right path again. Here’s hoping that his reign is not as short as Liz Truss.
