'More Than €100 Million For Him'-Arsenal And Manchester United Fight For The Signing Of The Offensive Target

Manchester United and Arsenal are said to be interested in signing Victor Osimhen, a striker for Napoli

According to the news site Fichajes, Manchester United and Arsenal could both try to sign the striker Victor Osimhen from Napoli. Both Premier League teams have been after the 23-year-old for several days.

This season, Manchester United has felt the need for a proper number nine. Even though they’ve been getting better on the field, they haven’t scored many goals. As the Red Devils continue to rebuild in this transitional phase, Erik ten Hag has made it a top priority to bring in a top-notch striker.

Manchester United wants Victor Osimhen

The former Ajax manager has tried both Marcus Rashford and Cristiano Ronaldo in the middle, but there haven’t been many encouraging signs. Rashford likes to play on the left side, while Ronaldo’s slowing speed has made him a bigger target for the other team’s defenders.

Manchester United could make up for lost ground if they had a young, energetic striker to lead their current attack. But it looks like Napoli, one of the biggest teams in Serie A, will likely ask for more than €100 million.

Arsenal has been on a roll, and since they are currently on top of the Premier League table, they could finally win a trophy after a long time without one. It’s too early to say that they are the favourite.

But the North London giants have shown some good signs. This could be a success for Mikel Arteta. The Arsenal manager is more hands-on, and bringing in a striker like Osimhen could help them catch up to Liverpool and Manchester City. Still, the fact that Gabriel Jesus is already in the team makes it hard to understand why Arsenal wants to sign Osimhen.

In the past, Arsenal and Manchester United were the best teams in the Premier League. But this time, the Gunners have been able to get people’s attention with their quick, attacking football.

Arsenal is also showing interest in him

Arteta has been getting a lot of praise, but he knows that he will need new players soon to compete with the big teams. Finding the money hasn’t been hard. If Osimhen makes it to the Emirates, the 23-year-old could do what Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang did.

Victor Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda, has said that the Nigerian striker has no plans to leave Napoli, even though he has been linked with a move to Manchester United.

Osimhen joined the Serie A giants from the French club Lille in July 2020 for a club-record fee of €70 million. He is one of the most sought-after strikers in European football. Last season, he played in 32 games and scored 18 goals, 14 of which were in Serie A.

The 23-year-old, who used to play for Wolfsburg, has had a similar start to the season, scoring four goals and getting one assist in eight games. He just came back from a muscle injury and scored a goal in Sunday’s 3-2 win over Bologna to celebrate.
