Journalist Claims It’s Time For Reiss Nelson To Be Unleashed By Mikel Arteta

Reiss Nelson

Is there any football related Journalist or Pundit, who hasn’t spoken about Reiss Nelson in the week that has passed by?? Definitely, not. Everyone who saw Arsenal beat Nottingham Forest 5-0 was delivered a treat by Nelson. He did it all. Two goals and an assist after coming on as a super-sub!!

What better way to mark your comeback to action, after returning from a long-term injury. The 22-year-old who recently said he wants to extend his stay at the Emirates, has seen his fair share of ups and downs. From his time under Wenger, to the Emery era and now Arteta. Things have gone from NORTH to SOUTH in the past few years.

Loan spells have been the main focus of his career so far. Reiss Nelson has travelled from club to club in search of the right form that he could bring back to the Emirates and make a legacy for himself, by continuing to deliver in such a manner. Yet, it has just not clicked for him so far.

What has been the situation of Reiss Nelson at Arsenal thus far!?

Ups and downs are part and parcel of any footballer’s career. Even the best in the business have bad days, phases and more. Yet, the ones that make it to the top and stay there consistently, fight through such times and move forward. Reiss Nelson has been fighting for quite some time now. It could seem to be the case that his time could be now.

At least, that is what one renowned Journalist seems to think. Reiss Nelson is “back in the frame”, as per Sky Sport’s Dharmesh Sheth. This verdict came post the Englishman’s stunning match-winning performance against Nottingham Forest.

Well, a lot of noise is being made regarding what Reiss Nelson can and can’t do. However, there is still a long way to go for him and he needs to prove his worth in the long run. Keeping that in mind, Arsenal does need his services with the likes of Bukayo Saka needing rest.

Nicolas Pepe was sent out on loan and Emile Smith Rowe is currently injured. This makes it essential for a player like Reiss Nelson to be playing regular games and contributing to the goals. Whether he can actually do that or not, only time will tell.

However, a lot of fans and Journalists/Pundits have hope that Arteta can make a difference. They feel that the Spaniard can trigger a quality or two in the winger that his predecessors failed to do. If that is the case, Arsenal could have a real asset in their hands.

The away trip to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea is really crucial!!

This will be another big test for Mikel Arteta and his team. They will want to win this match and take all three points from a fixture that hasn’t been kind to the Gunners in recent times. With that being said, Reiss Nelson could be called to action in the match as well. If he is able to deliver an impactful performance, it could be the start of something special for him at the club.

Nelson hasn’t been doing that great for the North Londoners. A lot of fans don’t really rate him that highly and possibly wanted him loaned out or sold. Hence, it becomes essential for him to keep performing and silencing his critics. Only time will tell!!
