After losing out to local rivals Chelsea in signing Mykhailo Mudryk, Arsenal is ready to restart their attempt to capture Barcelona winger Raphinha. The Evening Standard reports that Arsenal’s sports director Edu Gaspar has reached out to Raphinha’s agent Deco about a potential transfer of the Barcelona star.

Mudryk, a Ukrainian international who has been pursued by the Gunners in recent months, seems to have settled on a move to Chelsea. An estimated £88.5 million has been agreed upon between Chelsea and Shakhtar Donetsk for the explosive winger.

The president of FC Shakhtar, Rinat Akhmetov, and co-owner of Chelsea, Behdad Eghbali, met today to negotiate the transfer of Mykhailo Mudryk to Chelsea FC, according to a tweet from Shakhtar. In regards to the player’s move to the club, “parties are extremely near to agreeing.” Mudryk, who is just 22 years old. He has already scored seven times in the championship of Ukraine.
