Chelsea Vs Manchester City was a good fierce game, though it had just a single goal in it. The two teams faced off at Stamford Bridge, knowing that they needed to win the game to make an impression, since the resumption of the Premier League. The top flight of English football, much like the other leagues across the globe, was on hold due to the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar.
At the end of the day, not just Chelsea fans, but Arsenal wants too wanted their London rivals to get something out of the game. But, Pep Guardiola and co. had other ideas!!
Chelsea Vs Manchester City: The Game That Went Down To The Wire
Though both sides had been inconsistent this season, they looked good in this game. The two sides managed to keep each other at bay and did not let chances flow freely. Further, there were no goals in the game until Pep Guardiola’s attacking subs. The combination of Jack Grealish and Riyad Mahrez combined to score the only goal of the game.
Prior to that, both teams had hit the post. However, the ball just didn’t seem to want to go into the back of the net. To add to that, when the goal was conceded, Chelsea goalie Kepa was as fault for his poor judgement too.

At the end of the day, the fans (Chelsea, Arsenal and even some neutrals) were just not pleased with the effort of Kepa Arrizabalaga. The Spaniard left the ball alone, when he clearly could have intervened. This cost the Blues from London all three points.
The Reaction Of The Fans For Kepa After The Loss!!
The SportBible reported that the Chelsea fans blamed Kepa for the loss. Post the game, Chelsea vs Manchester City, they claimed that the keeper had been match-fixing. Ivan Toney would be so proud!! Not!!
The fans on Social Media platforms like Twitter weren’t that extreme. However, they disapproved of the keeper too for many personal reasons.
Here are some of the Tweets-
