“€12-15M Just”, Manchester United Is Set To Sign The Super Star In A Bargain deal In January Transfer Window

Manchester United

According to Bild, Manchester United might consider the possibility of signing French forward Marcus Thuram from Bundesliga side Borussia Mönchengladbach in this transfer window. Thuram has only six months left in his current contract with the German club, and he has no intention of extending it any further. He is very likely to become a free agent next summer, and thus Borussia Monchengladbach could let him go for a very low price in the winter transfer window – as low as €12-15 million.

About the report on the availability and potential transfer of this star player:

Marcus Thuram was a part of the French squad at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. He might not have been a regular starter under Didier Deschamps. But he played an important role as a substitute in both the semi-final and the final. Especially in the final against Argentina, Thuram came in as a substitute after

France conceded two early goals and then went on to play brilliantly. He had a crucial role to play in all of France’s attacks. A good performance in the World Cup definitely added a star to his resume.

He has also done exceptionally well with his club this year. In 15 appearances so far, he has had 13 goal contributions, which speaks for itself. He will be a valuable addition to any team that decides to sign him.

Manchester United wanted to sign Joao Felix on a loan deal, but Atletico Madrid are asking for a crazy fee. Moreover, United will have to pay for his high wages for the rest of the season. Marcus Thuram’s wages, on the other hand, are much lower.

Is Marcus Thuram moving to Manchester United or will be look to ply his trade elsewhere in the near future?

With the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, Manchester United are in dire need of a proper striker. His departure also cleared up much of their wage bill, and thus they can afford to buy Marcus Thuram on a long-term deal, although their original idea was to go for loan deals only this month.

Erik Ten Hag was optimistic about signing Dutch international Cody Gakpo, but his surprise signing by Liverpool has shocked everyone. Manchester United now need to settle the score, and they can get a much cheaper alternative in Marcus Thuram, who is highly underrated.

Manchester United are in a good position this season after the initial hiccups under Ten Hag. They are currently 4th on the points table with 32 points from 16 matches, and they might overtake Newcastle (3rd position) next week when they play each other. However, they need a solid striker to solidify their position in the top 4 at the end of the season.
