Folarin Balogun, a young player for Arsenal, has caught the attention of AC Milan after dazzling for Stade de Reims while on loan. Balogun represents England at the U-18 level.
CalcioMercato reports that Milan is interested in signing Balogun after he had a phenomenal season in France. He has scored 10 goals in 16 Ligue 1 games for Reims and set many club records.
The success of Eddie Nketiah in Gabriel Jesus’s place at Arsenal has opened the way for Balogun to depart in 2023. Milan, one of Europe’s top clubs, may now be plotting to bring the attacker to the San Siro.

He has established himself as one of Europe’s greatest young forwards this season with Reims. So, Balogun will undoubtedly want regular action next season. Milan’s transfer strategy of recruiting players with promise and the capacity to improve at the club makes the Arsenal man an excellent prospective addition.
Will Folarin Balogun move from Arsenal to AC Milan?
Mikel Arteta may be tempted to cash in on Balogun, with his stock at an all-time high and with Nketiah showing himself as the ideal deputy for Jesus. The Gunners have not made a significant sale since 2021 when Joe Willock moved to Newcastle United.
The Arsenal forward has taken to Premier League football like a duck to water this season. Thus he has rapidly become one of Europe’s most promising attackers in the process. Moving to Milan could be the best option for everyone involved.
What’s next in this?
After all, with Nketiah and Jesus already on the roster, it’s unlikely that Balogun will get much playing time for Arsenal next season. Considering Milan’s status as one of the world’s most prestigious clubs and the fact that they are not afraid to play rookies in important roles, it is easy to see how a transfer may suit all parties.
Gabriel Jesus is expected to miss at least the first half of February. So, the Gunners may look to add a striker this month.
Assuming that scenario plays out, Balogun will inevitably be demoted. In theory, Arsenal could summon the player back from his loan at Reims. But they probably won’t.
So, ironically, a player signed to play in Balogun’s position was injured, which might make matters even worse for the American-born striker.
