Arsenal Transfer News: Ever since Mikel Arteta arrived at Arsenal, the first and foremost thing that he did was tweak things up a bit at the club. The transition took quite some time but there were positive signs and good impressions from the manager straight away. Despite the fact that the results were not in Arsenal’s favour in the first few seasons, the fans backed the manager and the team.
Notably, the results started to come as far as the ongoing season is concerned. Currently, the Gunners are on top of the Premier League points table. They have lost just two games but won as many as 16 games in the competition so far. On the other hand, they have played out for two draws against Newcastle United and Southampton.
Earlier, when Arteta arrived at the club, he decided to offload the players who he felt will not be used by him. One of the players Arsenal sold earlier was Konstantinos Mavropanos, a Greek professional footballer. Currently, he plies his trade as the centre-back for Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart.
The 25-year-old footballer has by far made seven appearances for Arsenal Football Club during his spell at the club from 2018 to 2022. However, he failed to bring the best out of himself at the club. Moreover, the Greece international also struggled for match time at the club.
Arsenal Transfer News: Leeds United plot summer move for left-back Arsenal sold for £3 million
Meanwhile, as per German journalist Christian Falk in CaughtOffSide, Leeds United are very much interested in securing the signature of Konstantinos Mavropanos. The report further added that Leeds United wanted to rope in the Greece international from VfB Stuttgart in the January window.
In fact, Leeds United also reportedly held talks over a transfer in January. However, the Greece international made up his mind to not make the move to the West Yorkshire club. Meanwhile, Leeds are very much interested in the 25-year-old left-back and might as well make a move once again at the end of the season, the report adds.

After making seven appearances, the defender fell out of Arsenal management’s radar. As a result, he warmed up the bench more often than not. Later on, Arsenal decided to offload him permanently in the summer of 2022 in the aftermath of his loan spells at FC Nürnberg and Stuttgart.
What’s the matter?
For the record, the Gunners received £3 million in transfer fees for the defender as the latter made a switch to Stuttgart. Leeds United have sacked Jesse Marsch after the club lost to Nottingham Forest by 1-0 on Sunday. They are currently in the relegation zone and have a mountain to climb to come out of the danger zone.
“Leeds United can confirm head coach Jesse Marsch has been relieved of his duties. Jesse joined the club in February 2022 and was instrumental in keeping the club in the Premier League on the final day of last season. We would like to thank Jesse and his backroom staff for their efforts and wish them well for the future. The process of appointing a new head coach is underway and we will continue to keep supporters up to date throughout the coming days,” the club added in a statement.
