Arsenal Newsnow: Arsenal Football Club has been linked with Argentina international Alexis Mac Allister over the last few months.

Arsenal Newsnow: Arsenal have handled the operations smoothly without any fuss so far in the ongoing English Premier League campaign. The Gunners are having their best season in their history as they have collected a record 69 points from 28 games. They have managed to win a total of 22 games, lost three games and played out for a draw thrice.

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal provided the much-needed spark in their approach and it worked wonders like never before. The players and the fans have already trusted the process. Notably, the team is well on track to make a bid for the fourth title. The last time when the Gunners won the title was back in 2003/04. [ Arsenal Newsnow ]

Arsenal went the entire season undefeated and rightfully earned the famous name “The Invincibles”. Thus, they became the only team in the history of any football competition to win a Golden Trophy. However, since then, the hunger and zest to win another title dropped quite a bit. Meanwhile, the situation has improved quite a lot at Arsenal.

Arsenal were already out of the other tournaments in the ongoing campaign. This could turn out to be a blessing in disguise as they can completely focus on a single competition wholeheartedly. They have ten more games left and it remains to be seen how they go about their work in the remaining games. [ Arsenal Newsnow ]

Meanwhile, the Gunners have been linked with Alexis Mac Allister, with four other Premier League clubs believed to be linked as well. Arsenal have been linked with the Argentina international over the last few months. In fact, in late December 2022, a Spanish outlet identified as AS claimed that Arsenal are keen on the midfielder.

Apart from that, Newcastle United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked. Meanwhile, a journalist identified as Paul Brown is of the view that Mac Allister could play a role quite similar to Leandro Trossard. While speaking to GiveMeSport, he said that Mac Allister will be heading to the Emirates in the same way that Leandro has. [ Arsenal Newsnow ]

Mac Allister has picked up the lessons on the go and has quite a lot of experience under his belt. Moreover, he is cut out for the Premier League. But he won’t come cheap. As per 90Min, Brighton & Hove Albion want at least £50m for him. Earlier, Arsenal signed Leandro Trossard for a reported £27m in the January transfer window.

“Alexis Mac Allister would be coming in in the same way that Leandro Trossard has. As another member of the squad who can come in at certain times to play but isn’t necessarily regarded as an automatic first-choice starter,” the journalist told GiveMeSport. Meanwhile, Trossard has turned out to be a masterstroke signing for the Gunners. The proven product in the EPL has scored one goal and provided as many as five assists in the toughest league. He has indeed helped the team bolster the attack with his credentials. [ Arsenal Newsnow ]
