Arsenal transfer News: FC Barcelona are yet to match the asking price for Mikel Arteta’s target as per the latest reports

Arsenal Transfer News: The La Liga giants are very much interested in signing Vitor Roque. Apparently, even the Gunners are said to be tracking the Brazilian wonder kid. Barcelona and Arsenal have been doing incredibly well in their respective leagues. Both teams have had tough times in recent past years. However, they ran through major transformations respectively.

Xavi and Mikel Arteta, the two Spaniards have made their respective clubs shine from the darkness. While Barcelona are the table-toppers of La Liga, Arsenal are also sitting on top of the English Premier League. It will be quite interesting to see how both these clubs go about their work in the upcoming games.

Barcelona have collected as many as 62 points from 24 games so far. They lost only two games and played out for a draw on two occasions in this campaign. Moreover, they are nine points ahead of the second-placed Real Madrid. Xavi’s side will lock horns with Athletic Club in the upcoming game on March 13, Monday.

As per respected journalist, Fabrizio Romano, Barca’s actual bid of €25m (£22m) won’t be enough to sign the Brazilian striker. Meanwhile, the reports state that Paranaense wants almost double this fee if they are to let Vitor Roque leave the club. The journalist took to his official Twitter handle and then posted a tweet on Vitor Roque.

According to his tweet, more clubs in Europe are also keeping a track of the youngster. “Vitor Roque, back to scoring last night with Athletico Paranaense after his top performances with Brazil U20. Barça are keen on signing him but €25m won’t be enough to convince Athletico to sell him. Vitor wants #FCB but more European clubs are tracking him too,” Fabrizio Romano tweeted.

Meanwhile, as per the reports in Goal, Arsenal have been tracking the Brazilian striker of late. Moreover, the Gunners are interested to sign the 18-year-old prospect. However, with Barcelona not matching the asking price for Arsenal’s target, it could be a great chance for the Gunners to channelise their pursuit to sign the youngster.

As per the reports, the Gunners have put Kieran Tierney, Albert Sambi Lokonga and Nuno Tavares on sale. If the Arsenal team management sells these three players in the upcoming summer transfer window, then they will be getting more funds to sign the right players.

Very recently, Roque disclosed that his dream is to play for Barcelona one day. The La Liga giants could miss out on signing the talent if they fail to match Paranaense’s asking price. As a result, it could present a window of opportunity for the Gunners to seal the deal and only time will tell.
