"I May Be Moving Back To Arsenal" - £35M Star Promises To Move Back To Arsenal In 2023

Arsenal Transfer News: The Toffees locked horns with the Gunners of late in their trip to the Emirates. Needless to say, it turned out to be a forgettable outing for them. They totally surrendered at the hands of the premier league table-toppers. However, Everton looked pretty good in the first 40 minutes. In fact, they kept the hosts silent by defending pretty well as a team.

However, they were unable to press high as they ended up conceding two quick goals at the end of the first half. Bukayo Saka opened the account with a sensational goal. On the other hand, Gabriel Martinelli netted a goal to put the team in a pole position. In the second half, Martin Odegaard scored a goal before Gabriel Martinelli scored his second goal.

About the matter:

Arsenal ended up winning the game by 4-0. With this win, they became the first English Premier League to secure 100 wins against an opponent (Everton). Arsenal are currently sitting on top of the points table. Having played 25 games, Mikel Arteta’s side won 19 games, drew thrice and lost thrice, accumulating 60 points.

Meanwhile, in the latest development, Everton and Premier League midfielder Amadou Onana has expressed his interest to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world. The 21-year-old Dakar-born footballer feels that he will be playing for one of the top clubs in the world in five years’ time.

For the record, the defensive midfielder received interest from Arsenal and Chelsea. It remains to be seen what the future holds in store for the talented Belgian professional footballer. While speaking to SoFoot, the youngster reckons that he hopes he will play for one of the world’s biggest football clubs in the future.

If reports doing the rounds are to be believed, the 21-year-old defensive midfielder already turned down the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal. As of now, he has committed his future to the Everton Football Club with a strong statement on the club’s official Twitter account. He doesn’t want to leave the club soon as he wants to try and help the team as much as possible.

Everton ran through a series of struggles and failures for many years now. The Toffees tried their maximum best to recover from the setbacks but nothing much changed for them. Currently, they are in the relegation zone as they are placed 18th on the points table. The Toffees secured five wins, drew six times and lost 14 games.

What’s next?

When he was asked where he sees himself in five years’ time, he came up with a perfect answer. “I see myself having had a lot of life experiences, which will have made me learn a lot about human beings in general, as well as about myself. I see myself, God willing, at one of the biggest clubs recognised worldwide,” he added in a statement.

Meanwhile, former Belgium coach Roberto Martinez spoke highly of the defensive midfielder. He said, “Off the ball, he is one of the most impressive young players. The intensity, the way he can press, and then it’s that arrival into the box. Sometimes, he reminds you of a young Patrick Vieira in the way that he can drive with the ball.”
