“I Wanted To leave Arsenal” – €13M Rated Arsenal Player Wants To Leave The Gunners In 2023 After Falling Out With Arteta

"I Wanted To leave Arsenal" - €13M Rated Arsenal Player Wants To Leave The Gunners In 2023

Arsenal Transfer News: Arsenal midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga fell out of favour with Mikel Arteta’s plans very recently. This is precisely the reason why he lost his place in the playing XI. The Belgian professional footballer has been underperforming for the Gunners, making sloppy errors in the important phases of the game. His dismal performance for the club saw him lose his spot in the team.

Meanwhile, the midfielder was sent on loan to Crystal Palace in the January transfer window after falling out of Arsenal’s pecking order. As things stand, Lokonga doesn’t see a future at Arsenal as the club is already filled with a truckload of superstars. Ever since Mikel Arteta arrived in The Emirates, he slowly transformed the club bit by bit.

Arsenal’s overall performance and their current league position on the points table are there for everyone to see. The positive vibes are back and each and every player wants to play their heart out to help the team win game by game. The Gunners are on top of the table with 60 points from 25 games so far in the competition.

They just need the same consistency week in and week out in order to make a bid for the fourth premier league title. Arsenal churned out a brilliant result in the recently-concluded meeting against Everton at The Emirates. The Gunners beat Everton by 4-0 and have extended a five-point gap in the ongoing season.

The 23-year-old still has plenty of game left in him and he will be looking to pick up lessons on the go as well. This is the way for him to keep ticking forward in his career. However, as things stand, his future at Arsenal remains uncertain. This literally means that it might as well open the door to a future Anderlecht return.

For the record, the Gunners completed the signing of Anderlecht midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga on a long-term contract for £18 million ($25m) in 2021. Since then, he went on to make as many as 25 appearances for the club. Lokonga who is currently playing for Crystal Palace in the Premier League has made four appearances for the club.

At the moment, Mikel Arteta is looking forward to signing West Ham captain Declan Rice or Moises Caicedo. It will be quite interesting to see which player will end up at the Emirates in the summer transfer window.

While speaking to RTBF, Albert Sambi Lokonga echoed that one day he will be heading back to his former club. However, he doesn’t really know when he will be heading to the club. He further added that hee will finish his cricketing career there. “One day, I’ll go back (to Anderlecht). But I don’t know when that will be. I’ll come back. But (will I) finish my career there? I don’t know.”

“I wanted to leave. I deserved it, given my season, I wasn’t pushed out. The club was even open to me staying one more season,” the Belgian professional footballer added in a statement.
