Football Insider reports that Newcastle United are the frontrunner in the pursuit of Arsenal player, Kieran Tierney. The Manchester City transfer target, who is valued at £30 million, is considering leaving Arsenal for a fresh challenge.
The idea that Kieran Tierney was considering a transfer to Newcastle United in order to be closer to his family has been published on several occasions since he was connected with a move there. Even though that isn’t often the case when a football player is trying to select where to play next, the Scotsman has a lot of love for the Magpies.
Tierney joined Arsenal in 2019 after being acquired from Celtic for £25 million. Since then, he has been their starting left back, a position he held until the summer of 2022, when the Ukrainian Oleksandr Zinchenko was signed.
Tierney hasn’t exhibited any signs of unhappiness with his new role. This, in retrospect, does make him a regular starter. He has played 24 games for Arsenal but is considering leaving. Eddie Howe has made signing the £30 million-rated player a top objective for Newcastle United ahead of the summer transfer season.
Despite interest from Manchester City and others, a transfer to Newcastle United remains Kieran Tierney’s first priority
Though some at Arsenal believe £30 million is all they’d need to capture the Scotsman, the club might perhaps ask for more in the current transfer market. It’s hard to make a trade happen between Manchester City and the left-back.
Recently, rumors surfaced that Tierney and Joao Cancelo may be traded between Arsenal and Manchester City. That might help both parties discover answers to their difficulties. However, it could give Newcastle United the impression that they are in the driver’s seat.
When the season concludes, Tierney may have a number of opportunities to choose from. The Arsenal left-back might be tempted by Manchester City
If Arsenal requests more money, Tierney’s position might get muddy. Long-term, the player valued at £30 million might be useful to Newcastle United for years to come. The fact that Newcastle will compete in the Champions League next season makes his expertise all the more significant. Tierney will be a valuable addition for Howe after not participating in the competition since his days at Celtic. The Magpies, though, need to get the left back to St. James Park as soon as possible.
When the season concludes, Tierney may have a number of opportunities to choose from. The left-back might be tempted by Manchester City. However, relocating to the north could make him consider Newcastle United instead.
Arsenal is monitoring Noah Darvich in preparation for next summer. Some of the biggest clubs on the continent are keeping tabs on the 16-year-old German midfield wonder, who has excelled with SC Freiburg’s junior teams. It’s possible that German young footballer Noah Darvich may become the next great thing. He has made great strides in his development at Freiburg. He is still on the edge of making an appearance with the first team. This season may not be the right one for it. However, the Bundesliga club may consider elevating him as a means of retaining his services.
