Arsenal Transfer News: Gabri Veiga, a midfielder for Celta Vigo who has been linked to Arsenal, Manchester United, and Real Madrid, might be on the move this summer.
AS reports that Arsenal have shown interest in signing Veiga for the 2023–24 season. Manchester United is expected to rival Mikel Arteta’s club for the services of the £35 million-priced playmaker.
The 20-year-old Veiga has been one of La Liga’s most impressive players so far this season, 2022-23. In 28 La Liga games, he has been an integral part of Celta’s campaign for a top-half finish, with nine goals and four assists to his name.
The Spain U21 star has been a part of Carlos Carvalhal’s first-team plans since last October. He is a technically adept right-footed operator endowed with flare and passing. So far, he has started 23 games in all competitions.

Veiga’s impressive play as of late has Celta preparing for his departure in the summer. According to 90min, Bayern Munich is interested in signing him. Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Atletico Madrid have all been monitoring his progress.
Arsenal may find Veiga, who is under contract to Estadio de Balaidos until June 2026, to be a useful bench player. He may deputize for Martin Odegaard in a lower-level job as well as take over for him in a more advanced one.
Conversely, Manchester United is looking to add a midfielder with an eye toward the future to their roster. Both Christian Eriksen and Casemiro are well into their 30s. Bayern Munich may recall Marcel Sabitzer at the conclusion of his loan.

Moises Caicedo, who has been linked to both Arsenal and Manchester United, told SER that he wants to leave Brighton & Hove Albion for Real Madrid.
He elaborated: “I am doing things well now. So, why not join Real Madrid one day and win the Champions League? It is my biggest dream. It will surely be nice to see how they play. And the personality that Vinicius [Junior], [Eduardo] Camavinga, and [Federico] Valverde have. I also really enjoy watching [Toni] Kroos. To play for Real Madrid, you have to work very hard.”
During the recent transfer window, the 21-year-old Caicedo was a major talking point. He has been linked with a host of top clubs. Brighton turned down offers from Chelsea (at £55 million) and Arsenal (at £60 million and £70 million, respectively) for their best player.
Since his £4.5 million transfer from Independiente del Valle in 2021, the Ecuadorian has established himself as one of the Premier League’s top defensive midfielders. He has played in 44 games for Roberto De Zerbi’s team in all competitions. He has scored twice and dished out three assists.
