Arsenal ‘Is Now Going To Hijack’ The £35m Rated Star’s Move To Chelsea

Arsenal Transfer News: Arsenal 'Is Now Going To Hijack' The £35m Rated Star's Move To Chelsea

Arsenal Transfer News: Football Insider reports that Arsenal is trying to sign Vitor Roque before Chelsea does. Stamford Bridge’s financial woes might provide Arsenal with an opening to sign the highly regarded South American attacker this summer.

For some time now, reports about Vitor Roque’s impending transfer to the English Premier League have reverberated across the English and Brazilian media. Some of the best teams in the world, including those in England, have shown interest in the highly-rated South American striker.

When it came to pursuing the forward, Barcelona established the early tempo. The Catalans will have given up on signing Roque because of Athletico Paranaense’s high asking price of £35–40 million. He may have preferred to play for the Catalans. But he will have to settle for an English club.

According to reports, though, Chelsea was an early frontrunner for the player’s services. However, Chelsea’s deteriorating financial circumstances during the summer transfer season may prevent them from acquiring Roque. After Athletico Paranaense announced their asking price, the Blues took a hit.

To get out of its Financial Fair Play jam, Chelsea is considering selling off some of their most valuable assets. They are going to put those youthful prospects on the back burner for the time being in order to focus on more pressing matters.

As Chelsea falls farther and farther behind, Arsenal gains ground in its pursuit of Roque. They are still in a strong position to sign the South American attacker and the Gunners. They may take advantage of their competition’s lack of funds to steal the Brazilian away from them.

Mikel Arteta hasn’t closed the door on adding any more young, promising players to his roster. By acquiring players like Gabriel Martinelli, Arsenal has been successful in the Brazilian market. The former is an integral element of a team that is in the hunt for the Premier League championship.

Arsenal transfer News: If Chelsea’s financial position worsens, Arsenal may be able to take advantage of the situation and steal Vitor Roque from the Blues

Roque may find it easier to adjust to life in England if he joins Arsenal. There is a sizable Brazilian or Portuguese-speaking community. The club is impressed with the player’s profile and his finishing skills.

Before making a bid, Arsenal would likely wait for other suitors like Barcelona and Chelsea to totally back out. If they are the sole contender, they may believe they have a good chance of negotiating a lower price.

Roque and his father visited London a few weeks ago. Thus, suggesting a transfer to either Arsenal or Chelsea was on the horizon. Roque and Athletico Paranaense haven’t settled on anything yet. But he’ll probably be leaving the club when the summer transfer market opens.
