According to reports, Arsenal and 21-year-old Mykhaylo Mudryk have struck a “deal in principle” over his transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk in the next January
The Sun reports that negotiations between Arsenal and Mykhaylo Mudryk’s home club, Shakhtar Donetsk, over the Premier League leaders’ winter grab of the 21-year-old Ukraine offensive prodigy are continuing but have struck an agreement in principle.
The Ukrainian side has been openly asking for about £85 million. However, it was thought they could be willing to negotiate less given their precarious financial circumstances. The transfer cost, it has been reported, is still a topic of discussion.
Is Mykhaylo Mudryk coming to Arsenal?
To maintain their Premier League title push, Mikel Arteta and company will be looking to bolster their roster and add excellent depth in the next transfer window. Edu, the team’s sports director, has been charged with signing a new striker after the recent injuries to Gabriel Jesus and Reiss Nelson.

According to reports, Mudryk is at the top of Arsenal’s want list for the current transfer window. The 21-year-old Ukrainian wing magician is widely regarded as one of the most intriguing young attackers in Europe after a string of impressive displays for both club and country over the course of the last year.
The left winger has scored 10 times and assisted on eight more in 18 games played across all competitions. Three of those goals and two of those assists have come in Champions League play.
What’s next?
Arteta has a tremendous deal of respect for Mudryk, a player he admires for his quickness, pace, inventiveness, and attitude. He has always spokenabout his ambition to join the Emirates. He was witnessed watching Mikel Arteta’s team demolish West Ham 3-1 on Monday night in an Instagram post.
Only seniors Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka are still on the roster at wideout. Emile Smith Rowe is anticipated back in January after missing a significant amount of time recovering from groin surgery. As a result, Mudryk would provide Arsenal with some essential depth as a wide receiver.
Although a final agreement has yet to be reached between the two clubs, it appears as though it will only be a matter of time before Arsenal completes the deal for Mudryk early next month. Moreover, the player is believed to be keen on joining the Gunners’ title push. He is being desperate to make the move happen.
