Arsenal Newsnow: It has been claimed again that Arsenal is considering a summer deal for Wilfried Zaha of Crystal Palace.
A player the Gunners have been interested in for a long time, but no agreement has been reached with. Zaha will be allowed to leave Selhurst Park on a free transfer once his contract with the Ivorians expires at the conclusion of the current campaign.
Wilfried Zaha, who just turned 30 this year, scored a career-low six goals in the Premier League last season. Since Arsenal already has Brazilian superstar Gabriel Martinelli and in-form January addition Leandro Trossard playing on the left flank, Zaha’s playing time would drop significantly compared to what he is enjoying at Palace.

Arsenal Newsnow: The Gunners’ interest in Wilfried Zaha
With a spot in next season’s Champions League almost certain, Mikel Arteta is aiming to bolster his squad with excellent depth. Zaha may offer that behind Bukayo Saka at the Emirates.
He’s also getting on in years. Arteta’s emphasis on fielding a young team makes this contract seem like it came a little late. One possible explanation for the success of the Zaha trade is the recent signing of Jorginho, who might serve as a valuable squad player.
It’s assumed that Zaha wouldn’t reject a transfer to Arsenal if it meant playing in the Champions League, even though he would receive less playing time in North London than he does at Selhurst Park. It is unclear, however, whether Arsenal would truly increase their pursuit of the skilled winger during the next summer transfer window.

What’s next for Zaha?
For the Eagles, Zaha has 89 goals. Jurgen Klopp has also spoken highly of him, calling him “world-class.” Given their busy schedule, it’s not surprising that Arsenal has been connected to a top winger in the Premier League.
Romano’s latest update on Zaha, provided in his article for Caught Offside said: “I’m told Wilfried Zaha has not made a final decision on the future yet. Crystal Palace are offering him a very important contract; he will decide in the next weeks. I’m not aware of a concrete proposal or talks with Arsenal yet, Bayern have different priorities now.”
Those who root for Arsenal and had hoped to see Zaha wear their colours are likely disappointed by this news. The winger is, understandably, taking his time making a choice. Palace is his home club. He has spent most of his career there. Despite this, the allure of playing in Europe for a title-contending team may be too much to pass up. Zaha’s opportunity to make a significant transfer will soon expire. Fans of Crystal Palace want him to remain in the club to ensure his place in club lore. That he hasn’t made up his mind to go just yet is good news for the time being.
