Arsenal Newsnow: According to reports, Reiss Nelson will be leaving Arsenal for Brighton & Hove Albion this summer. The Daily Mail reports that Brighton is interested in signing Nelson, 23 years old, whose current contract will be up at the end of the season. The English winger has started talking to the Gunners, but he may not end up staying at the Emirates.
Despite not being a regular starter, Mikel Arteta has found Nelson to be a wise choice this season. He’s played 11 times for the team in all competitions. He’s got 3 goals and 2 assists to show for it. Despite their success with Roberto De Zerbi, Brighton is aiming to strengthen their offence. With 10 games left, the Seagulls are in seventh place and still have a shot at making it to Europe.
Nelson is tempted by the prospect of joining De Zerbi’s team at the Amex. There he may be given a more significant role. Because of the performances of Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli, he has not been able to establish himself as a regular starter for Arsenal.

Arsenal Newsnow: Reiss Nelson may leave the Gunners
The Englishman has had offers from other countries. But he wishes to stay in the Premier League. In March, he became a fan favourite after scoring the game-winning goal in a 3-2 victory against Bournemouth.
After Nelson’s valiant performance in the victory, Arteta had this to say about him (via The Independent): “I always saw the potential. The talent and the desire for him to do it, but he’s at a different level right now. I think emotionally, the experiences that he had helped him.”
On Sunday (April 16), Arsenal will meet West Ham United at the London Stadium as they continue their quest for the Premier League title. The Gunners are leading the league by six points, with a game in hand, over the second-place Manchester City team.

What’s next for the Gunners?
William Saliba has been out for about a month with a back ailment. Fans have been worried about his availability. In 33 games played, the Frenchman had helped the Gunners to 12 clean sheets. He was having a stellar season with the club. He’s also contributed to four goals, which is a nice bonus.
It seems like Arteta may have to depend on Rob Holding again if Saliba does not show up to Arsenal’s training session. So, the English defender has been playing in place of Saliba.
Holding, however, has not been able to achieve Saliba’s physical demands. On Sunday, his team played Liverpool in a 2-2 tie, and he almost cost them a penalty that may have them to lose the game. It would be a major setback if the latter becomes unavailable when the crucial stretch of the season began.
