Manchester United Transfer News: Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is on the lookout for a new striker, and he may target Benjamin Sesko this summer

Manchester United Transfer News: Football Insider reports that Manchester United is planning a summer transfer for Benjamin Sesko. Erik ten Hag is still set on bringing on a new lead striker. Together with Victor Osimhen and Harry Kane, the 19-year-old RB Salzburg forward is one of his alternatives.

Erik ten Hag planned the next stage of his team reconstruction during the summer transfer window. Manchester United has big ideas. Since the Dutchman’s arrival, the club has improved significantly, especially in terms of competitiveness, thanks to their performance in the previous two transfer windows.

Manchester United have had a rough start to the season. But they are still contenders despite being underdogs thanks to their Carabao Cup win. They have also established themselves in the FA Cup. Many pundits believe that the acquisition of new players would further solidify their position in the league.

Manchester United Transfer News: What’s the matter?

To be successful, Ten Hag needs a central striker. After losing Cristiano Ronaldo, Manchester United brought in Wout Weghorst to replace the vacuum. The loan for the Dutchman only lasts for six months. There is little chance of him being given a long-term contract with the Red Devils.

It has been suggested that Ten Hag is using Wehorst as an experiment. Maybe he will go to the next available window in search of a more active variant of the same forward. Manchester United reportedly have their sights set on signing Napoli striker Victor Osimhen and is prepared to spend a hefty transfer fee to do so.

They are also interested in Harry Kane. But there are several obstacles that may prevent a transfer to Tottenham for the top player. Ten Hag is considering not committing to anybody at this time since he is also interested in Tammy Abraham and Benjamin Sesko.

While deciding between Sesko and Weghorst in January, the Red Devils gave serious thought to both. The Manchester United officials apparently thought the 19-year-old striker would be a good fit for the team. Yet, a substantial transfer fee would have been required for any move in the middle of the season.

What’s next for Benjamin Sesko?

The 19-year-old forward will join RB Leipzig in July and sign a deal that will keep him with the club until the following summer. Whether the German squad is willing to let him go before he has ever kicked a ball for them remains to be seen. Manchester United may have to pay a hefty premium above RB Leipzig’s reported €24 million offer if they want to acquire the player.

Sesko provides a point of emphasis, and his impressive statistics will alarm a lot of teams. Man Utd’s participation in the Champions League might provide a boost for achieving some of their goals. If given the choice, Sesko could choose to relocate.
