Manchester City Star Mocks Arsenal For Title Collapse; Fans Are Shocked

"Manchester City Wants To Steal Arsenal's Target" - Pep Guardiola Wants City To Hijack The £80m Arsenal Target In 2023

Manchester City Star Mocks Arsenal!! Amyeric Laporte, a defender for Manchester City, couldn’t resist taunting Arsenal after their collapse in the title race, as his own club approaches the Premier League title. The Gunners had been leading the title race for over 200 days, setting a record for the longest time at the top during a single season in Premier League history.

However, a poor run of form since April, winning only two out of seven games, led to their unlikely challenge for the title coming to an end. Brighton’s 3-0 victory at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday added insult to injury, with accusations of Arsenal ‘bottling’ their campaign.

Brighton secured a well-deserved win with two second-half goals from Julio Enciso, Deniz Undav, and Pervis Estupinan. This result means that Manchester City now only need one more victory from their remaining three games to secure the title.

If Arsenal loses to Nottingham Forest on Saturday night, Manchester City could potentially become champions even before their next match. Alternatively, a victory over Chelsea would secure City’s sixth title in six seasons.

Manchester City star Amyeric Laporte took to Twitter

Following Arsenal’s defeat to Brighton, Amyeric Laporte took to Twitter to emphasize his team’s confidence in winning the title. Arsenal is set to face Nottingham Forest on Saturday, while City will host Chelsea the following day.

After a 3-0 win over Everton earlier today, Pep Guardiola’s team moved four points clear at the top of the Premier League standings. Arsenal had an opportunity to close the gap to just one point if they had defeated Brighton in their later kick-off. However, goals from Julio Enciso, Deniz Undav, and Pervis Estupinan dealt a significant blow to Arsenal’s title chances, providing City with a significant advantage.

If Guardiola’s team emerges victorious against Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium next Sunday, they will crown themselves Premier League champions for the sixth time in six years. Arsenal has only two games remaining this season, while City still has a game in hand.

Laporte played a crucial role in helping the reigning champions keep a clean sheet and secure all three points against Everton. Known for being active on social media, the City defender posted a photo of WWE wrestler and actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson with the caption “can you smell it?” Laporte’s tweet followed teammate Jack Grealish’s Instagram story, where Grealish wrote, “One step closer! Citehhh,” after their victory in Merseyside.

Is it coming Home?

In response to the comment “It’s already home” on Laporte’s remark, a Twitter user expressed confidence in Manchester City winning the title. However, Laporte replied with a firm “No, no, never,” indicating that his team still has work to do and cannot take anything for granted.

As it stands, Arsenal faces a daunting task in their pursuit of the Premier League title this season. Manchester City has the opportunity to extend their lead to seven points if they win their game in hand. To clinch their first title since 2004, Arsenal would need a remarkable turn of events, as they would have to achieve a significant five-point swing in their favor. They face overwhelming odds, and accomplishing such a feat of overcoming such a deficit to claim the championship can only be described as a miraculous achievement.
