In the forthcoming summer transfer window, David Ornstein of The Athletic reports that Premier League powerhouses Manchester United and Chelsea are both interested in signing Arsenal starlet Ethan Nwaneri.
Since he was just 15 years, 181 days old when he was substituted off against Brentford in September of last year, the adolescent holds the record for youngest Premier League player. Since then, he hasn’t played a significant role for the Gunners. However, everyone could tell that he had great promise.
This summer marks the end of Nwaneri’s school-year commitment to the Emirates. And there has been no word that he has signed a professional deal with Arsenal as of this writing. Because of this, he has caught the eye of two top youth programmes, Chelsea and Manchester United.

Under Todd Boehly, Chelsea has strengthened their youth system and senior team tremendously. Acquiring Carney Chukwuemeka, Cesare Casadei, Andre Santos, Gabriel Slolina, and most recently Kendry Paez shows an eye towards the future of the team.
Mason Mount, Reece James, Conor Gallagher, Callum Hudon-Odoi, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are just a few of the young players who have broken into the first team. The captain of the U-14 squad, Charlie Holland, was recently asked to join the senior team for training.
Arsenal’s rising star Ethan Nwaneri is attracting interest from Premier League powerhouses Manchester United and Chelsea
His replacement, the soon-to-be-announced Mauricio Pochettino, shares his strengths as a coach and a mentor of young players. Everything points to the Blues being able to provide Nwaneri not just the foundation he needs, but also a direct route to the first team.
Similarly, Manchester United is trying something different under Erik Ten Hag. The Dutchman understands exactly how to nurture potential, as seen by his ability to assemble a strong young team at Ajax. The way he deals with Alejandro Garnacho is commensurate with his standing as a manager.
But Arsenal isn’t losing hope and has already begun contract negotiations with the young star. Myles Lewis-Kelly, another young player, just signed a new contract with the Emirates. The club is hoping that Nwaneri will do the same. But the longer they take to come to terms, the more time their competitors have to move in.
Rudy Galetti of GIVEMESPORT reports that Youri Tielemans has drawn attention from both Manchester United and Newcastle United. The 26-year-old pivot will be available to sign with any team when the current season concludes. Moreover, he will be able to join whatever club he pleases.
Back in the winter transfer window of 2019, Tielemans signed with Leicester City. His outstanding play during an initial loan spell earned him a permanent transfer. To date, the 26-year-old has played in 193 games for the Foxes and has contributed to 53 goals. The Belgian international has contributed to five goals in 35 games so far this season.
