Rudy Galetti of GIVEMESPORT reports that Youri Tielemans has drawn attention from both Manchester United and Newcastle United. The 26-year-old pivot will be available to sign with any team when the current season concludes. Moreover, he will be able to join whatever club he pleases.
Back in the winter transfer window of 2019, Tielemans signed with Leicester City. His outstanding play during an initial loan spell earned him a permanent transfer. To date, the 26-year-old has played in 193 games for the Foxes and has contributed to 53 goals. The Belgian international has contributed to five goals in 35 games so far this season.
Over the previous several seasons, he has been crucial to their accomplishments. The former AS Monaco player’s contract is up at the end of the month. Thus he will be leaving the club at that time. Foxes management has shown interest in extending his contract. However, the player was eager to advance. He chose not to extend his contract with Leicester so he could make his own transfer decisions.
The Foxes are in a position to convince him to sign a new contract since they are now in danger of being relegated. Soon to be a free agent, the 26-year-old will make a decision on his professional future in the following months. Meanwhile, two Premier League teams, Manchester United and Newcastle United, are interested in acquiring the Belgian midfielder.

The Red Devils are looking to add a new centre midfielder to their roster so that Casemiro and the other player may play the double pivot position. While they do have Danish international Christian Eriksen in their ranks, questions have been raised about his fitness and age.
Youri Tielemans, a 26-year-old midfielder for Leicester City, has drawn interest from Premier League clubs Manchester United and Newcastle United
They are anxious to get the Belgian midfielder because, other than him, there isn’t much talent in their ranks to play the double pivot. With him on the team, they’ll have a solid foundation in the middle of the field. They’ll be better able to construct plays and throw the ball about. The 26-year-old will fit in well with Erik Ten Hag’s system.
Galetti said to GIVEMESPORT, “Manchester United, Newcastle United and Borussia Dortmund are following with attention the midfielder and they can probably guarantee more game time, especially the German club with the sale of Bellingham in June.”
Meanwhile, Newcastle will compete fiercely with Manchester United to sign him. Since they will be competing in the Champions League next year, the Magpies are looking to bolster their roster with more talented players. Eddie Howe, their coach, is looking to add depth to their midfield.
He’s looking to improve his squad by signing top-tier midfielders like Tielemans so that they can compete at the highest level. The Magpies’ financial stability suggests that they will have no trouble paying the 26-year-old market rate.
