Mikel Arteta Has Asked Arsenal To Sign The £140,000-Per-Week Manchester City Star

This summer, Ilkay Gundogan will be a free agent. Teams like Barcelona have shown interest in signing him. Supposedly, he is close to signing a new deal with Manchester City that would keep him there through the summer. Arsenal reportedly wants to sign the 32-year-old this summer and might make a bid in the next few weeks.

Gundogan’s transfer to Arsenal would constitute a Bosman if Manchester City did not extend his contract. Since joining Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund, the German international has been a vital member of the team. He played a major role in their success and contributed to their collection of domestic championships.

As Premier League winner, he’ll be shooting for the UEFA Champions League crown this season. City will face Inter Milan in the championship game, which will be held in Istanbul. Without question, Gundogan is one of the top players in the world. He has the potential to be a fantastic addition to Arsenal.

Arsenal and Barcelona have shown interest in signing Ilkay Gundogan this summer, adding fuel to rumours that he may leave Manchester City

Mikel Arteta has to upgrade Thomas Partey’s defensive pairing this summer. The Manchester City player is an excellent option. As of now, we don’t know whether Gundogan is willing to sign with a Premier League opponent this summer. Recent rumours, though, show Barcelona ahead of the pack in the pursuit to recruit him.

He has already established himself as a top player in the Premier League while at Manchester City. He may opt to leave the club this summer in favour of a move abroad. For the German midfielder, a transfer to Barcelona may be the best option. Gundogan’s versatility makes him an ideal replacement for Sergio Busquets. The Blaugrana are looking to acquire him.

However, Arsenal will need a stronger roster to fight on all fronts after qualifying for the UEFA Champions League the next season. They might really benefit from signing players like Gündogan.

Manchester United are reportedly making more of an effort to guarantee Mateo Mejia’s future at the club. The club would want to sign the promising 20-year-old striker to a new contract. They will then send him out on loan to help his development before his current one ends in June. Plans to improve the team and ensure the long-term success of its current players are well underway at Manchester United. Erik ten Hag wants to use the summer transfer window to bolster the team by adding stars in key positions.
