Arsenal News: Huge Loss For Arsenal Ahead Of The 2023/24 Season; Reiss Nelson To Extend!?

Arsenal Transfer News: Player Wants Only Arsenal; Set To Reject Other Clubs

Arsenal News: The Gunners have been trying to add more quality to their squad this summer. However, it seems that they will be losing some talents too. And this may not be the best thing for the overall morale of the squad, especially some of the young talents that aspire to be part of the first-team.

The reason for this is that the North London giants have released as many as 13 players that were part of their academy and one even part of their first-team squad. Ainsley Maitland-Niles is one of the stars that has been let go off.

The midfielder was part of the Gunners’ first-team a few seasons ago. However, he was used as a defender back then. And the player did not like his role in the team. And eventually, it seems that things have not worked out because of his attitude.

Arsenal News: What Happened To Ainsley; His Story And Why It Is Sad To See Him Go!?

The player had real potential. He was looking good and even picked for the England national team. However, his attitude was the problem. He was not a team-player and eventually got dropped. And this hurt his career. He never recovered and though managers praised him from time-to-time, it just didn’t work out.

Even the fact that the player went on Instagram and expressed his dismay on being not included and not played, was too much. It did get a lot of attention at that point in time. However, once the hype was all over and with Arteta’s recent success, Ainsley was soon forgotten.

At times, who represents a player also matters. Sometimes, the agents can get into a player’s head and ruin things for them. This seems to be one of those cases.

Who Are The Other Players That Arsenal Is Letting Go Off!?

FA Cup winner and captain of the former youth captain at Arsenal, Matt Smith will also be leaving the club. The Gunners have decided not to extend his stay. He is just 22 at present. But has failed to make any sort of impact for the first-team. His game-time at the senior level has been far from what he could have liked for sure. With that being said, the player will now be leaving with a lot of other stars.

Ainsley and Smith will be joined by Zach Awe, Joel Ideho, George Lewis and Tom Smith. Four others will not be getting a contract renewal. Kaleel Green, Alexandar Kovacevic, Tino Quamina and Mathaeus Roberts will also exit the club on June 30.

Arsenal’s WSL side have also released Mana Iwabuchi, Rafaelle Souza and Fran Stenson. They will be departing as well.

Arsenal News: What Next For Reiss Nelson!?

Winger Reiss Nelson is wanted by AC Milan. However, it seems that the attacker does not want to join the former Serie A champs. He is in talks to extend his contract at the Emirates. And so far, though no agreement has been reached, the player might stay back at the club.

That is what Mikel Arteta and co. would be hoping. He came on last season and provided some really crucial goals. So, he is just not done yet. Further, if any Arsenal news does show up on this matter, we at Beyond The Posts will surely cover it!! #COYG
