Arsenal vs Manchester United: After scoring a screamer for Arsenal against Manchester United, Bukayo Saka imitated Marcus Rashford’s celebration. After just eight minutes of the second half had passed, Saka scored the game-winning goal by cutting inside on his left foot and blasting a shot past David de Gea from just beyond the penalty area.
Just to top it all off, Saka imitated Marcus Rashford’s celebratory head-pointing after scoring. In the 17th minute, Rashford gave Manchester United the lead with an equally superb shot past Aaron Ramsdale. The Manchester United striker nutmegged Thomas Partey and then let go from 20 yards away.
Rashford’s shot found the back of the net, and he celebrated by jumping over the corner flag in front of the Arsenal supporters. Seven minutes later, though, Eddie Nketiah scored for Arsenal, and the two championship contenders headed into halftime tied at one goal each.

Still, it was Saka’s goal that gave Arsenal the lead and rubbed it in Rashford’s face. However, Arsenal’s advantage didn’t last long since Lisandro Martinez scored on a looping header. With a victory, Arsenal have regained a five-point lead over Manchester City and still have a game in hand. Erling Haaland scored a hat trick to lead City to a 3-0 victory against Wolves earlier in the day. Following City’s remarkable comeback victory against Tottenham on Thursday, the deficit was cut to two points.

United, meanwhile, thought they were in a title race going into the game. Even though they lost two points against Crystal Palace on Wednesday, they still had a reason for optimism after their win in the Manchester derby the previous weekend. The team played one extra game than its opponents before heading to the Emirates, where they ended up eight points behind. They needed to win by at least two goals.

Gary Neville, a commentator for Sky Sports, has previously said that his old team wasn’t in the Premier league battle
“I don’t think they (Man Utd) are (in the mix for the title),” Neville said. “I think they’re short compared to other teams. They are a little bit short upfront. You think about Weghorst coming in, he was a stop gap. The others seem to have more firepower. But United, from where they were at the start of the season, are in a really good position,” he added.
Neville said the Gunners will end up third in the league after their victory over Tottenham last week. “The league won’t go to them. I think Manchester City will win the league, and Man Utd will come in second. That will make Arsenal fans mad, though. I’d rather Arsenal than Man City win the league. I think it would be incredible for the Premier League. I think about how, other than Liverpool, City has dominated the Premier League over the past five years. The fact that Arsenal could come and win it makes our league even better. I’d love for Manchester United to win it, but I don’t think it will happen this season,” he added.
