“Everyone In Premier League Will Be In Tension”, Arsenal’s Rivals Are Frightened That Arsenal Is Going To Land The Super Star For Just £14Million

Arsenal

Adrien Rabiot is anticipated to switch clubs in the next January transfer window. Reports indicate that Juventus is “terrified” that Arsenal would move quickly to get him.

CalcioMercato reports that the Serie A powerhouses want to retain the midfielder until the end of the season. But there has been a huge uptick in interest in Rabiot after the French national’s stellar play at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The 27-year-old was an integral part of Didier Deschamps’ squad that returned to the World Cup championship game. Rabiot finished in second place in Qatar. Les Bleus lost to Argentina in the championship game on penalties.

The World Cup may have ended in heartbreak for Rabiot. But it has done him no small amount of good. The competition has made him one of Europe’s most sought-after players. Juventus are eager to re-sign him when his contract with the club expires in six months. Arsenal is particularly interested in signing the midfielder.

Will Adrien Rabiot come to Arsenal?

With so much competition for the former PSG player in January, Arsenal will have their work cut out for them if they want to sign the France international Rabiot. The Time has stated that Juventus would accept an offer of £14 million to allow Rabiot to depart in January.

However, according to CalcioMercato, the Gunners could pass on Juventus in favour of a younger midfielder, which is quite plausible considering the transfer philosophy of Mikel Arteta and Edu Gaspar. It has been instrumental in changing the north London club over the last 18 months.

While Rabiot’s current form would make him a terrific addition to Arsenal, the 27-year-old should still be seen as somewhat of a last option despite having had perhaps his finest season ever for both club and country.

After all, Arsenal has been connected with younger midfielders in recent weeks that would complement the group better in the long run. So, Arteta, who may prefer a younger kind of player than the France international Rabiot, may not think the Juventus star is worth the struggle.

What’s next?

Spanish journalist Jordi Gil has provided an update on the prospects of both Memphis Depay and Adrien Rabiot. Thus revealing that Juventus is interested in both players.

Last summer, there were rumours that Depay would leave Barcelona. It was still not clear where he would end up. However, the most significant story was that he would join Juventus on a free transfer. This would happen after cancelling his contract with the Catalan club.

The Polish international Arkadiusz Milik was signed by Juve instead. Through Tuttomercatoweb, Gil reveals: “Depay wants to leave Barcelona because he needs to play more. In Serie A there are interested teams. But the Blaugrana ask for a lot of money, considering that he has the contract expiring in June.”
