The players that the Gunners don’t want anymore
#3 Marquinhos
Depending on the availability of funds, Arsenal may consider loaning out Marquinhos later in the window if Mykhaylo Mudryk is really acquired next month. The Brazilian’s quick adaptation to life in north London, highlighted by a goal and an assist in their opening-day triumph against FC Zurich in the Europa League, astonished many.
Since then, though, the 19-year-old’s playing time has been significantly reduced. He has even been forced to sometimes suit up for the Under-21 squad. He is at a pivotal point in his career and would benefit greatly from regular playing time in European football. So a transfer abroad may be wise.
To add insult to injury, Marquinhos’ prospects of seeing consistent playing time are rather low until Jesus, Smith Rowe, and Nelson return from injury. During the summer, Arsenal explored loaning him to another team. They may decide to do it again.
