Atletico Madrid of La Liga is well ahead of Arsenal and Tottenham in their chase of World Cup hero Alexis Mac Allister
Fichajes reports that Atletico Madrid of La Liga is the club with the most interest in signing Alexis Mac Allister. Arsenal and Tottenham are also following closely after. Many teams have their sights set on the Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder. But Diego Simeone already has a game plan for the Argentine.
Mac Allister not only assisted on Angel Di Maria’s winning goal for Argentina versus France. But he also scored once himself. He was a star for Argentina. So it’s no surprise that several of the best teams want to sign him.

Premier League clubs Manchester United and Arsenal are allegedly interested in signing him, with Tottenham also keeping tabs. Having just signed a new deal with the World Cup champion in October, Brighton is taking a chill approach to Mac Allister.
His current contract runs through 2025, and Brighton has a season-to-season option to extend it. Even if Mac Allister did become available to Tottenham in the new year, they were advised earlier that this may not happen.
Where will Alexis Mac Allister move to?
Mikel Arteta wants to add depth to Arsenal’s midfield. Thus the club is quite interested. The Gunners, who may benefit from Mac Allister’s high levels of energy, could inquire further from Brighton. The north London club is unlikely to make a move in January. But they might pursue a signing in the summer.
It is said in the article that Arsenal and Tottenham are in second and third place, respectively, to Atletico Madrid in their pursuit of Mac Allister. On January 1, Diego Simeone would want to sign the World Cup champion. He would want to match him up with Rodrigo De Paul, a midfielder on the national team.
According to reports, Mac Allister is interested in a move to La Liga, but only if the club can assure him that De Paul and Nahuel Molina would be staying here for the foreseeable future. The World Cup champion may be persuaded to join the Spanish powerhouses by the presence of his countrymen.
According to his profile, Simeone is looking for a player with Mac Allister’s skills and attributes. Atletico Madrid has been missing a dynamic player in the centre of the field who can take control of games from a defensive and offensive standpoint. The World Cup champion should be a great addition to the Madrid squad.
Although Atletico Madrid has been the most persistent, either Arsenal or Tottenham might potentially make an offer as well. Mac Allister is a valuable asset for any team. But Brighton is not willing to let him depart for peanuts.
