Tottenham Transfer News: With only one season in north London, Ivan Perisic might follow Antonio Conte out the door this summer
Tottenham Transfer News: Ivan Perisic may leave Tottenham this summer for a new challenge, as reported by Calcio Mercato. It’s possible that the experienced Croat only joined the club in the first place because he wanted to play under Antonio Conte. Now that the Italian coach has left, he has no desire to stay.
Ivan Perisic came to us for nothing when his Inter Milan contract ended and he became a free agent last summer. Antonio Conte had seen the guy play in Serie A and understood what he could contribute to the squad. So he didn’t waste any time signing him when he became available.
The 34-year-old arrived and quickly became a regular under the Italian coach, signing a two-year contract that runs until 2024. But, with Antonio Conte’s dismissal from Tottenham after much drama, the Croatian may decide to go with his manager in the summer.

Tottenham Transfer News: What’s the matter?
Names like Julian Nagelsmann and Mauricio Pochettino have been bandied around as possible replacements for Conte at Tottenham. There may be major changes at Spurs as a consequence of the Italian’s departure. Harry Kane, Dejan Kulusevski, and others have uncertain futures at this time.
Perisic apparently wants to play for Inter Milan again. The club is considering a re-signing offer. This season, the 34-year-old has been pivotal for the Spurs, especially from his left wing-back position. His lone goal came in the club’s last game with Conte as manager, against Southampton.
In all competitions, Perisic’s nine assists have been significant. There have been no complaints about his play. But he may not want to stick around beyond this season in north London if Conte is not in charge.
Will Ivan Perisic leave Spurs?
In the summer, he’ll have time to think about his options and could decide to join a different team, perhaps in Italy. It is unclear if Spurs would let him go for free or try to negotiate a transfer price, but they may try to replace the Summer acquisition with a younger player.
Due to his tenuous ties to Inter Milan, Perisic has failed to attract much attention. It’s possible that he’d be seen as a steal by certain Italian teams. But they’d be unwilling to pay a transfer price. The 34-year-old will undoubtedly get offers, albeit some of them may be less than desirable in comparison to his contract with the Spurs.
