The Gunners are looking quite serious in the current transfer window. They have been signing a lot of players. And along with Arsenal, their London-based rivals Chelsea are doing the same as well. Liverpool on the other hand are going steady and not rushing into deals.
However, all three clubs know what their priorities are. And the targets that they want to sign and bring in to add more quality. With that being said, it often tends to happen that these top English clubs want the same player. And in such a situation, most times one of the three ends up being the winner.
The Latest Deal That Involves Arsenal, Chelsea And Liverpool; With The Latter Dropping Out Of The Race!!
After signing Mac Allister, the Reds are now close to finalizing the deal for Szoboszlai. They were lacking in midfield in the previous campaign. And are now trying to compensate for it. With that being said, Szoboszlai could be the last of their midfield signings.
But Arsenal and Chelsea are just not done yet. While the Gunners are about to lose Partey and Xhaka and they need more replacements, the Blues will be Mateo Kovacic, N’Golo Kante and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, with two out of the three deals already done. So, both these London-based clubs want more midfielders.
Now, Southampton’s Romeo Lavia is a target for all three clubs. But Chelsea are first focused on signing Caicedo. And so is Arsenal, who will try their best to get a deal done. However, this is not the player that this story is all about. It’s about Gabri Veiga.
The Player That All These Three Top English Clubs Want, But Liverpool Could Back Out Of!?
All three of these teams are keen on signing Veiga. But due to budget constraints and rules like FFP, they can’t get all the players that they want. So, if Liverpool gets Szoboszlai, they could drop out of this race.
On the other hand, the 21-year-old central midfielder will only be signed by the London clubs, once their other deals are either done or they collapse. So, this transfer saga will surely take a while, as of now.
It is believed that the player has a £34.4m release clause in his contract. And if that is triggered, Celta Vigo will have to sell him, once personal terms are agreed. With that being said, it will be upto the player, which club he will want to join.
All three clubs want to strengthen their squad in order to challenge Manchester City in the League and win more Cups too. With that being said, it will not be an easy task to buy these players. That too, with the kind of intent that Arsenal has. And the kind of money that Chelsea would spend on a player that they want.
However, there are always alternatives. And Liverpool might be considering adding more of those players for the future. Let’s wait and watch how these deals progress now. Things could surely get tricky in the days to come!!
