Premier League rivals Arsenal and Manchester City had a really good business relationship last season. The Gunners signed a couple of players that wanted to move away from the Etihad. However, eventually, the Cityzens realized that it is not really safe to be selling players regularly to the North London giants.
This is the main reason that they did not want to sell Cancelo to Arsenal. Further, other players that have been linked with a move, have also been denied the chance to join the London-based club. This has been made quite clear in recent times.
However, despite everything, there are other ways of signing Manchester City players, or in this case, some of their ex-stars. The Gunners want players that have played under Mikel Arteta before. And that is a well-known fact by now!!
Will Arsenal Be Able To Sign This Former Manchester City Star!?
Arsenal are looking to add more players this summer. They are looking at signing at least a couple of more players. And with that being said, there are still multiple talents being linked with a move to the Emirates.
Mikel Arteta and Edu want more squad depth. They want to be challenging for titles and trophies in the seasons to follow. And for that purpose, they need to get further deals done.
With that being said, a recent interest was reported in Ferran Torres. The Spaniard is now a Barcelona player. But he played previously under Mikel Arteta at the Etihad.
Below are the details are the story that was put out recently!!

Whether Barcelona will allow this loan-move to happen or not, remains to be seen. However, it is a well-known fact that the La Liga giants don’t really want Torres. Xavi has other talents that he prefers. And that the club needs to cut down on their present expenses for sure.
Can The Gunners And Manager Mikel Arteta Make Good Use Of Torres!?
Though Torres hasn’t been that impressive at the Nou Camp since his move, he surely has a long-way to go. He is just 23 at present and hasn’t even hit his prime yet. He has been a key figure in the Spanish national team in certain matches as well. So, there is a lot of football still left in him.
Mikel Arteta has previously worked with the attacking star. There is a reason Arteta wants these players. He has a well-defined role for them. And he knows what to do with them and how to utilize them to the best of their abilities. At least, he thinks he surely can!!
And the club management and the board have his back. They did so in the Kai Havertz deal too. And it seems, this could be the case with the Torres deal too. That is, if Barca does let it happen in the days to come. Let’s wait and hope for the best!!
