Opening Goal Of Napoli Vs Union Berlin Ruled Out For Gabriel-Esque Foul At Far Post

"He Will Be An Excellent Choice" This World Class Striker Wanted By Arsenal In 2024

Napoli Vs Union Berlin Update!! At this point in time, Arsenal fans and the club’s heirarchy have no REAL LOVE for match officials and VAR!! The way they have been hurt and have dropped points due to poor officiating, it is in a way justified as well. Every Gooner across the globe wants to see REFEREES do a better job. And when such a thing happens, they can relate to every incident that is similar to the ones, where a match official SCREWED THEM OVER!!

Such is once again the case this time. And Arsenal fans on Social Media platforms like Twitter and more are now talking about a recent incident in a Champions League game; though it has nothing to do with the club at all.

The Incident In The Napoli Vs Union Berlin Match That Got The Attention Of Arsenal Fans Across The Globe!!

Napoli vs Union Berlin produced a great first half of football. The match is still going (as we speak) and is at the half-time break. However, there was one incident in particular that caught the attention of the Arsenal fans.

There reason for this was quite simple. A first-half goal for Napoli was ruled out by the referees and VAR, due to a push in the back at the far post. It didn’t seem to be much of a major thing, but it reminded all Arsenal fans of the Gabriel push against the Newcastle game.

Below is the video from the Napoli vs Union Berlin match which was shared by Rory Talks Football!!

It is clear that the goal was ruled out due to Di Lorenzo’s push in the back of Roussillon. And so the goal wasn’t given. This is exactly what Arsenal fans wanted to see happen with the Anthony Gordon goal against them. But it didn’t!! VAR screwed them over!! And that is a FACT!! No matter what the likes of Gary Neville and other say!!

What Happened Further In The Game Within The First Half Itself!?

It was just a matter of time before Napoli eventually took the lead. And that happened in the 39th minute of the game. Matteo Politano was the scorer and the game finally had its first goal. Frankly, the home side deserved to go ahead. But this game is far from done with 45 minutes to go (at this point).

And so, all football lovers would surely want to watch the second half of this game. Hopefully, this time, for all the right reasons. And we, as Gooners, just hope, that the level of refereeing in England can also improve to the level that we can see in the Champions League!!

But unfortunately, the fact still remains that it is going to take a long-long time before that actually happens. However, one can hope. But, let’s not forget one thing as Arsenal fans!! IT IS THE HOPE THAT KILLS!!
