Watch: Cristiano Ronaldo Says “NOT A PENALTY” After Referee Awards Spot-Kick For Foul On Him

UEFA Champions League

Cristiano Ronaldo said NOT A PENALTY when a referee in the AFC Champions League gave a penalty to him for a foul in the opposition box. The match between Al Nassr and Persepolis at the King Saud University Stadium in Riyadh, had a moment of madness in it. Not from the players of the Saudi or Iranian team. But apparently from the referee, when he gave a penalty to the Saudi side.

Cristiano Ronaldo being the GOAT that he is, said NO, NOT A PENALTY!! And it was a brilliant moment in the career of the LEGEND, who has done it all. Not just quite!!

The foul on him could have actually seen how the game would go, had the decision stayed. But CR7 had other ideas. And he said, NO to a PENALTY KICK!! That’s a first!! Or maybe, not.

The Video Of The Cristiano Ronaldo Controversial Call That Might Actually Cost Al Nassr!!

Sometimes being a HERO is costly. Yes, it is the right thing to do. But, it can surely hurt your team in the long-run. And that is something that Cristiano Ronaldo might realize in this game soon.

However, he did a great job. And showcased SPORTSMAN SPIRIT of the highest order. And that needs to be respected, irrespective of the scoreline on the night.

Below is the video of the controversy that earned Cristiano Ronaldo everyone’s RESPECT once again!!

Whether it was a PENALTY or not, the forward who was fouled, Cristiano Ronaldo said it wasn’t!! In an ERA where diving is a common trend and players do it more often than not to get an advantage, this was something RARE to see.

CR7 Did The Right Thing; But Will It Actually Hurt His Team Now!?

This moment or talking point was followed by another one. Al Nassr got a RED CARD in the 17th minute of the match. Centre-back Ali Lajami was sent off, despite Cristiano Ronaldo pleading with the referee that it shouldn’t have been a RED. But, he did not listen!! And so, the Saudi side now has to play the remaining game with a disadvantage!!

The score at HALF TIME was 0-0, with both teams still in it with a chance to win the match. Which team manages to turn this game in their favour, remains to be seen. For now, it seems to be a game that won’t produce too many goals. Let’s see if there is any change in that in the second half.
Right now, the idea for Al Nassr would be to push the game as deep as possible. And they will hope that they can get a goal or 2 and then eventually defend it. Though they have the quality to still win it, let’s see if they can actually convert this into a win with 10-men on the pitch. As of now, this game is in favour of the visitors, who will surely feel, it’s theirs to lose!!
