Arsenal And Manchester United Fight For The World Class Winger

According to a report from Fichajes, Manchester United is eyeing the talented attacker Rafael Leao from AC Milan. This 24-year-old Portuguese talent has been making waves this season with an impressive record of 12 goals and 12 assists. It seems that Arsenal has also taken notice of his skills.

The Red Devils are really looking to strengthen their attacking options, as they haven’t been able to make much of an impact this season. Adding a player like Leao to their squad could really boost their attacking power. On the other hand, there’s a potential issue because Leao’s role is very similar to Marcus Rashford’s. It’s still unclear whether Manchester United will use the English star in a central role for the upcoming season. Rashford’s move to the central position might help ease the pressure of scoring goals, especially when paired with Rasmus Hojlund, who has been gradually adjusting to the challenges of English football.

Arsenal And Manchester United Fight For The World Class Winger

Manchester United sees Leao as the perfect answer to their need for more firepower and creativity in the final third. The AC Milan star, eager to prove himself at the highest level after causing chaos in Serie A, might be unable to resist the temptation of joining one of the world’s largest clubs. Arsenal is keeping a close eye on Leao’s situation, quietly observing from the sidelines. The Gunners might face a significant hurdle with the reported €150 million price, considering their pressing need to bolster various areas of their squad.

Arsenal definitely needs a top-notch attacker, but going after Leao might not fit their financial plan unless AC Milan changes their asking price. Getting Leao’s signature would give Mikel Arteta more depth and versatility in his attacking options, which is something he really needs. Bringing in the AC Milan dynamo would give the Gunners more freedom to mix up their frontline, something they haven’t been able to do because of their limited options.

Ultimately, the potential signing of Rafael Leao is a fascinating story that has caught the attention of both Manchester United and Arsenal. The final decision will depend on various factors, such as financial aspects and the player’s personal inclination towards his next adventure.

What did Arteta say?

Mikel Arteta said after the game against Bayern Munich: “It was a really intense match. I think we started really well. We started to dominate it, to play in the opponents’ half and we generated some momentum, scored a really good goal with B. And there obviously was the moment in the match when Ben White is in front of Neuer to make it 2-0 and then the game and the tie changes quickly.  We didn’t [score] and then unfortunately today, we have given two very poor goals away and against a team with that individual quality, they’re going to punish you. The team reacted really well. It is because the game can become very chaotic and you can start to lose some discipline and start to allow them to run, and in that moment, you can lose the tie.”
