Mikel Arteta Has Allowed The Young Arsenal Player To Leave

It appears that Arsenal is preparing to say goodbye to Charlie Patino this summer. Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, has no intention of including the midfielder in the team’s future plans. Patino, who became part of the North London club’s youth academy in 2015, made his way to the senior team but has struggled to find many chances to showcase his skills.

Emirates Stadium insiders were thrilled when he scored his first goal against Sunderland in the Carabao Cup in 2021. However, he hasn’t had many opportunities since then. Patino, who is currently on loan at Swansea, hasn’t been given the opportunity to start a match since January 1, which suggests that he has a limited role in the team. The Standard reports that Arteta is open to letting Patino go due to a lack of future plans for the player. Arsenal is looking to make a smart financial move by selling him before his contract expires next year.

It looks like the midfielder might be considering a move abroad, given his playing style and the fact that he has a Spanish passport. It’s still unclear where he’ll end up and which clubs are still showing interest in him. However, bringing Patino on board is a risky move considering his young age. However, his undeniable talent shows great potential for his next manager to develop. There are differing opinions regarding Charlie Patino’s future. There are those who believe that Arsenal should keep him, pointing out his potential and the advantages of developing young talent within the club. They think Patino has the potential to thrive with a change in leadership or more opportunities on the field.

However, some argue that Patino’s development could benefit from a departure from Arsenal. They suggest that he should consider moving to a different club where he can play more often and improve his skills. This group believes that it’s crucial for Patino to have regular playing time in order to fully develop his potential. They prioritise practical experience over hypothetical possibilities. In the end, it all comes down to considering these different perspectives and figuring out which path will most effectively support Patino’s future career opportunities.

What did Arteta say?

Mikel Arteta said after the game against Bayern Munich: “It was a really intense match. I think we started really well. We started to dominate it, to play in the opponents’ half and we generated some momentum, scored a really good goal with B. And there obviously was the moment in the match when Ben White is in front of Neuer to make it 2-0 and then the game and the tie changes quickly.  We didn’t [score] and then unfortunately today, we have given two very poor goals away and against a team with that individual quality, they’re going to punish you. The team reacted really well. It is because the game can become very chaotic and you can start to lose some discipline and start to allow them to run, and in that moment, you can lose the tie.”
