Arsenal has always been especially appreciated by Anthony Martial. His passion of the Gunners stems from his respect for Thierry Henry, one of the most legendary players in the team. Martial has finished his nine-year career at Manchester United and is looking for a new team. While he hasn’t been connected to Arsenal, his remarks from 2018 indicated a strong connection to the team, mostly because of the French greats who formerly played on the North London surface.
Martial has been an English football fan throughout life. He supported Manchester United in part because Patrice Evra was from the same place as Martial. But Thierry Henry at Arsenal won his heart. Martial was even more enamored with Henry since he shared his origins in Les Ulis. French football greats like Henry and Zinedine Zidane, sometimes referred to as Zizou, jumped out to Martial. His list of players he most admired included attackers and playmakers, Nicolas Anelka included. Martial thought Anelka was a very outstanding player and valued his pace and talent.
Anthony Martial Gives A Hint To Arsenal
Injuries dogged Martial’s last season at Manchester United. In total, he made only 19 appearances and scored two goals. His record with United overall, however, is still remarkable—90 goals in 317 appearances. Martial left the squad and the supporters with a moving message after United defeated Manchester City in the FA Cup final.
Martial thanked everyone he met while at Manchester United, including his teammates and technical staff, profusely in his departure. He expressed satisfaction in relating such stories and recognized the big influence the club had on his career. Martial made clear that he would always have a particular place in his heart for Manchester United. Though he takes on new responsibilities, he pledged to closely monitor the club’s performance. Warmly signing goodbye, he pledged to be a Red Devil forever.
Martial is already thinking about the next phase of his career. His previous words clearly demonstrate his respect for Arsenal and the French greats that played there, even if his future path is still unknown. The Gunners and its legendary players continue to be a significant part of Martial’s football experience as he makes his future moves.

Following his stellar Austrian Bundesliga loan stint at Sturm Graz, Arsenal must decide what to do with Mika Biereth. After a previous loan spell with Motherwell in Scotland, the 21-year-old attacker joined Sturm Graz in January 2024. Biereth made 22 games in Austria and scored nine goals and four assists. With three goals in four games, he also excelled in the Europa Conference League. His contributions were crucial to Sturm Graz’s pursuit of the Austrian Bundesliga Championship and their victory in the Austrian Cup.
Biereth’s future with Sturm Graz is in doubt since Arsenal did not include an option-to-buy provision in his loan deal. Biereth will now be assessed by Arsenal management, headed by Mikel Arteta, to see whether he will join the first team or go on another loan. Speaking about Biereth’s future, Fabrizio Romano said, will happen in the next days. Arsenal and Biereth’s lawyers will decide, and everything will become evident shortly.
