Liverpool Wants To Sign The 28 Year Old Defender

Liverpool has been linked to a possible summer acquisition of 28-year-old Jonathan Tah, a defender for Bayer Leverkusen. According to sources from 90 minutes, Liverpool has chosen not to go with this course of action, however. Rather, they are now concentrating on other targets, such as Willian Pacho, a further Bundesliga defender.

For Bayer Leverkusen this season, Jonathan Tah has been essential, greatly helping them win the Bundesliga. Many teams have shown interest in him, and a transfer this summer is imminent. It seems the Reds have different ideas, even though a move to Liverpool would have been a fantastic chance. Being at the height of his career, Tah would jump at the opportunity to establish himself in the Premier League. Apart from Liverpool, he has also shown interest in other English teams like Tottenham and Chelsea.

But Liverpool has to fortify their defence. This season, their backline seemed fragile, and with Joel Matip set to leave soon, acquiring a top-notch central defender has taken front stage. Even if Jonathan Tah seemed to be the perfect fit, Liverpool is looking at other options like Willian Pacho. Tah has a great size and skill set for the Premier League, but Liverpool’s defensive approach seems to be going in a different way.

The Liverpool team as it stands now has encountered a number of difficulties. Joe Gomez and Ibrahima Konate have both battled injuries, while Virgil van Dijk is beyond his best at thirty years old. Liverpool has to strengthen their defense if they want to compete at the top level the following season. Though Tah would have been a great acquisition, Liverpool’s attention is now elsewhere.

Considering his athletic and technical skills, Jonathan Tah can yet draw interest from other Premier League teams. It is still unknown which team will be able to sign him, but he has the ability to excel in English football. After showing himself in Germany, Tah could be ready for a fresh challenge and the opportunity to win big prizes.

Liverpool wants to turn around a disappointing season, hence they will be trying to add a lot of players. They need a good striker and central midfielder in addition to a central defender if they are to challenge for the Champions League and the league championship the following year. Liverpool will be looking to rebuild and compete at the top level once again, hence the summer transfer window will be vital.

Regarding Jonathan Tah, things seem bright in his future. After proving his mettle in Germany, the Bundesliga champion will probably be a great addition to any elite team that is willing to sign him. Tah’s decision-making and professional football path will be heavily influenced by this summer.
