Mikel Arteta Breaks Silence On His Future At Arsenal - Is He Staying?

When the moment is perfect, Mikel Arteta intends to talk with Arsenal about his future. Arteta joined the team in 2019 and took over for Unai Emery. His present contract ends in a year. Under his direction, Arsenal has a chance to win their first Premier League championship in twenty years. They have to defeat Everton at the Emirates and pray Manchester City loses to West Ham in order to win the championship.

Since coming from Manchester City, where he was an assistant to Pep Guardiola, Arteta has completely changed the Gunners. Each season the squad has become better. They are presently vying for the crown after two eighth-place results and a fifth-place. Before the big match against Everton, Arteta said that day would be emotional no matter what happened. The need of maintaining attention on the current objective was underlined by him. “What counts most is winning right now and keeping belief,” he said to reporters. Though he stressed that it is still too early to draw any conclusions about the season or his future, Arteta recognized the emotions that would surround the match. “We will sit down and talk after the season or when the right time comes,” he said.

Arteta underlined the significance of introspection and comprehending the motivations behind the voyage of their season. “We need to discover the ‘why’ and the ‘how’ for our progress,” he said. These reflections will direct their future moves. With 22 games unblemished, Manchester City is the clear favorite going into the last day. And yet, Arteta thinks football is unpredictable. Arsenal has to hang with the idea that anything can happen.

Though his future at Arsenal is still unknown, Arteta is focused on winning the championship and thinking back on their journey. He will talk to the club about his future after the dust has settled. Right now, Arteta is totally dedicated to helping the Gunners win the Premier League.

Arteta said: “That’s something that after the season, or whenever the right time is, we will talk and sit down. What is important is to win now, to keep believing that we can continue to win, that’s the important thing. Whatever happens, it will be very emotional on the day [against Everton]. It’s probably not the right moment to make any conclusions but afterwards we will have time to reflect. You have to go through the season we have to come to the point we have done and try to understand why. We have to find the ‘why’ and the ‘how’, we are going to do the next bit. That’s more important.”
