Arsenal Are Inching Closer To Sign The €55m Striker

Viktor Gyokeres’s transfer from Sporting CP to Arsenal seems to be closing in on an agreement. It would seem that the Swedish striker is Mikel Arteta’s primary aim. Leonino, a Portuguese news site, reports that a deal between Arsenal and Sporting CP is imminent. Discussions over the club’s finances continue, but releasing Gyokeres may help Sporting break their record sale.

The media has a hard time identifying who Arsenal is trying to sign as a new player. No one knows what Arteta has in store for new signings. Two forwards and a midfielder may be on the team’s wish list. First, they must choose whether they will target a striker or a wide forward. While a number of candidates have surfaced for the center position, Nico Williams has piqued Arsenal’s attention as a potential wide receiver.

Because he decided to remain put at RB Leipzig, Benjamin Sesko was not available to Arsenal. They don’t seem as keen in Victor Osimhen, perhaps because of his exorbitant fee. Since the season concluded, rumors have circulated that Viktor Gyokeres may be joining the Emirates. Now it seems as that he is their primary target. During his time at Sporting, Gyokeres scored 43 goals in 50 games played in all competitions. His contract has a release clause of £85 million, thus Sporting are thinking about selling him.

After joining Manchester United in January of 2020, Bruno Fernandes became Sporting’s record-breaking seller. With Gyokeres’s sale, they are now aiming to outdo that. Apparently, Arsenal is almost ready to sign Gyokeres, but they still need to settle on a transfer fee with Sporting. It is possible for the two teams to reach an agreement on a price that works for them.

Adding a center striker or wingers are two ways Arsenal want to bolster their assault. They may be able to get the Swedish striker Gyokeres this summer, but it is unclear whether their offer is competitive with Sporting’s value. As an alternate, less expensive choice to Gyokeres or Osimhen, there is Joshua Zirkzee of Bologna.

Everyone knows that Arsenal needs a goal striker. Gyokeres might be a good fit for the club if the price is right. Starting the season, Arteta will probably put his confidence in Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus. As a result, it seems Arsenal have enough strikers to handle all eventualities.

The pursuit of Gyokeres, in spite of these choices, suggests a need to strengthen the team even further. To Arteta, it’s all about making sure the attack is deep and excellent. Because of his stellar goal scoring record, the Swedish striker is a desirable target. It is the desire of Arsenal supporters that the club will quickly complete this acquisition.

Lots of people are excited and guessing about the summer transfer window. The fact that Arsenal is considering Gyokeres just heightens the excitement. His signing might provide the squad a huge offensive boost if they manage to get him. Arsenal fans are anxiously awaiting formal news as conversations continue.
