Arsenal Player Set To Leave On Loan Now

Albert Sambi Lokonga has agreed on a season-long loan with Sevilla, according to reports from Arsenal. There is still one outstanding issue in this arrangement, however. According to Spanish news site COPE, Lokonga is reportedly almost a summer signing with Sevilla. Sevilla is prepared to pay his €3 million annual salary, and Arsenal and the Andalusian club have reached an agreement in principle over the loan deal. The relocation may still not be officially confirmed until one more element is resolved.

In July of 2021, Arsenal signed Albert Sambi Lokonga away from Anderlecht. It hasn’t been easy for him throughout his stay at the North London club. In the first 18 months of his loan at Crystal Palace in January 2023, he had a hard time breaking into the starting lineup. Lokonga joined Luton Town on a second loan in the summer of 2017 after his time with Crystal Palace. His performance was inconsistent while he was there. His 19 appearances resulted in fewer than 1,500 minutes of play time, during which he scored once and assisted on three other goals.

Lokonga has returned to Arsenal after his loan stint at Luton Town. Unfortunately, it seems that his future with the Emirates is clouded. Supposedly, Arsenal will release him from their contract this summer. Since Sevilla is so interested, it seems like another loan deal is imminent. It is reasonable for Sevilla to be interested in Lokonga. Lokonga is considered by them to be an excellent addition to their midfield as they prepare for the 2024–25 season. Meanwhile, the Belgian midfielder might be available for another loan transfer to Arsenal.

The transfer between Sevilla and Arsenal is nearing completion. Sevilla has offered to pay Lokonga’s salary for the whole season. Nevertheless, the last thing preventing the relocation is the specific kind of purchase clause that is part of the loan agreement. In contrast to Sevilla’s preference for a buy option, Arsenal is seeking a forced purchase clause. If one party is prepared to give a little, the motion may proceed.

Sevilla are in the final stages of negotiating a loan deal for Albert Sambi Lokonga. The agreement has been agreed upon in principle between Arsenal and Sevilla. Sevilla is prepared to pay Lokonga’s salary, but they can’t agree on the kind of purchase clause. If this can be worked out, Lokonga will play for Sevilla in La Liga the next season.

More news:

The midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga has been shown attention by Sevilla and might be loaned out again by Arsenal. Mikel Arteta is a prime transfer possibility since he has no intentions of staying in Lokonga. Diario de Sevilla reports that Arsenal is receptive to the notion of loaning Lokonga to Sevilla for the next season.

Many were hoping for great things from Lokonga when he signed with Arsenal, but those hopes quickly died down. At first, he had extensive playing time under Arteta; but, as his perofmrnace declined, he began to spend more time on the bench. Subsequently, Crystal Palace and Luton Town received his loan transfers from Arsenal. He helped keep his worth up despite injuries by impressing at Luton.

Lokonga seems to have realised his future is not at Arsenal based on his recent remarks. It would be ideal for the Gunners to sell him and recoup a large portion of their investment. But that summer, it may not come to pass. Sevilla is still interested in Lokonga. They probably would rather have a loan arrangement than a permanent move due to their financial situation. They were interested before, but things got in the way of their relocation. Perhaps now Lokonga will be brought to Spain at last.
