The preferred destinations for Ajax striker Brian Brobbey if he were to leave the Dutch team are Arsenal and Tottenham. Having spent almost his whole career at Ajax, the 22-year-old attacker told HELDEN Magazine in an interview how much he admires the north London rivals.
Brobbey had a remarkable Eredivisie season, scoring 18 goals and dishing out 10 assists in 30 games. His efforts let Ajax bounce back from a dismal start to the season and finish fifth in the league in the end. Though they recovered, Ajax finished the season 35 points behind PSV Eindhoven, the champions.
Not insignificantly, the youthful striker has made an impression. Product of the renowned Ajax school, Brobbey has played 119 games for the team, scoring 49 goals and dishing out 19 assists. He has been a staple in the Ajax team other than a short loan spell with RB Leipzig in 2021 and 2022.
Brian Brobbey Reveals Whether He Wants To Move To Arsenal
When asked where he would want to play, Brobbey said Real Madrid, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Tottenham. “Those are nice teams—Real Madrid, Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham,” he continued. Brobbey made it plain that he would not be disappointed to stay at Ajax, despite his ambition.
Arsenal in particular is looking to add a striker. The Gunners want a seasoned goal scorer to spearhead their assault as they try to win their first Premier League championship in twenty-one years. Since Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah have not lived up to expectations, Arsenal is looking at alternative possibilities. Benjamin Sesko of RB Leipzig has been closely associated with them; he has a £55 million release clause. Arsenal will have fierce competition from Chelsea to land Sesko, however.

Conversely, Tottenham wants to bolster their front line as well. The team could think about making proposals for Richarlison this summer in an effort to lessen their reliance on Heung-Min Son. The Spurs have already given Timo Werner another season on loan from RB Leipzig. In their pursuit of Champions League qualification for the next season, they have also been connected to transfers for Santiago Gimenez of Feyenoord and Ivan Toney of Brentford.
Both Arsenal and Tottenham are actively looking for reinforcements, which is why Brobbey is interested in both teams. He’s a tempting possibility because of his track record in the Eredivisie and room for improvement. However, for the time being Brobbey is still an Ajax player, happy with his circumstances but willing to look into other possibilities with some of the best teams in Europe.
His career has so far showed promise, and if he keeps upping his game, one of his ideal places could call. Brobbey, aware of the exciting opportunities ahead, will concentrate on his duties at Ajax in the meantime.
