Arsenal Have Informed Their Player To Leave The Club

Arsenal has told Jakub Kiwior he is free to go this summer. After discussing with the Polish defender, the club concluded his services were no more needed. Several Serie A teams have show interest in Kiwior; Inter Milan is leading the hunt.

Kiwior spent 2023 winter with the Gunners from Spezia Calcio. He appeared 38 times during the last 18 months and helped five goals to be scored. Though mostly a left-back, he also covered center defense. Though he is still flexible and gives strong performances, it appears his stay in North London is almost over.

Though Kiwior had four years remaining on his contract, Mikel Arteta’s staff advised him he might go. This choice corresponds with Arsenal’s agreement with Bologna for Riccardo Calafiori. Soon joining the Gunners to fulfill Kiwior’s position will be the Italian international. The club considers Calafiori as an improvement as he can play left-back and center defense.

Arsenal’s desire to change their team drives Kiwior’s leaving, not a lack of performance. Although the 24-year-old does well, he finds himself over his needed level. Italian teams find him a great target because of his adaptability and Serie A experience. Inter Milan wants to improve their full-back choices, hence Kiwior seems to be the ideal match. His youthful age and adaptability to many defensive situations make him appealing.

The relocation looks advantageous for all the concerned parties. Arsenal can accommodate Calafiori, a player they think will provide greater value. Kiwior has an opportunity to go back into a league where he once shined. Inter Milan gains a flexible defender ready for quick contribution.
