Arsenal Utility Man Is Close To Joining Fulham

Maybe Fulham and Emile Smith Rowe will reach a deal shortly. Fulham has almost signed the 23-year-old Arsenal player, claims David Ornstein of The Athletic. This has been building and now it seems they have figured out how to get him to Craven Cottage. According to several sources, Arsenal intended to retain Smith Rowe a few days ago; Mikel Arteta included him into his plans. But Ornstein’s most recent update indicates differently. Fulham and the Gunners apparently are almost at an agreement.

Smith Rowe has been on Arsenal’s periphery of first team. Although he had a fantastic season in 2021/22, Arsenal’s development surge drove him to the side with injuries. Arteta believes in him, but he hasn’t been able to retake his place. Arsenal turned down Fulham’s offer earlier, but now they look almost in agreement on a £35 million transfer. This would be in line with Arsenal’s 2017 record departing transfer cost established by Alex Oxlade-Chamber’s choice to Liverpool.

Recent remarks by Arteta suggested this direction. Smith Rowe missed the team for the friendly pre-season game against Bournemouth. “Yeah, there are things happening in the background at the moment,” Arteta said. “We decided the best thing to do was to keep him away from the game today.”

Smith Rowe spent his whole life with Arsenal. He would have dearly wished to have a lengthy career with the club. Though Arteta appreciates him, circumstances have changed and a £35 million offer is difficult to turn off. Fulham gives him a new start working with Marco Silva. Should he excel there, North London may be his eventual return point. Right now, he will be concentrating on recovering form, avoiding injuries, and leaving a legacy with the Cottagers.

For both of them, this action seems appropriate. Smith Rowe gets regular playing chances, and Arsenal can reinvest the money. Though only time will determine how it turns out for all the concerned. It is a win-win.

Tyrick Mitchell, 24-year-old defender of Crystal Palace, is in Manchester United’s sights this summer. For Crystal Palace, the young English international has been really outstanding. Many people have taken notice of his consistent performances; now, Manchester United looks ready to welcome him to Old Trafford.

Crystal Palace is at a conundrum. Michael Olise was already lost earlier in the transfer window, therefore losing another important player may be rather damaging. Mitchell makes very important contributions to the club; the Eagles will probably battle hard to retain him. Their performance in the Premier League next season could depend on keeping such important players.

Mitchell finds great attraction in going to Manchester United. Having a rich history and an opportunity to fight for important prizes, this is among the biggest teams in the world. Joining the Red Devils would be a major career turning point as it would allow him to highlight his skills on a bigger arena.

Manchester United obviously needs a consistent left-back. The club needs an improvement given Luke Shaw’s injury problems and Tyrell Malacia’s few appearances. Mitchell, who performs in the Premier League, exactly fits. His addition may strengthen United’s defense by offering much-needed consistency.
