Arsenal Want To Sign This Argentine Defensive Midfielder; Headache For Chelsea?

This summer Arsenal has its eyes on Argentine defensive midfielder Ezequiel Fernandez. The report by Diego Monroig via Bolavip shows Arsenal’s intention to strengthen their team. The Gunners want to break their Premier League championship drought and think Fernandez would improve their midfield now and going forward. Fernandez started his path with Boca Juniors in infancy and advanced rapidly through the levels. He made it into their first team at the beginning of 2023. Already making 67 appearances, the youthful defensive midfielder has chipped in with five goals.

Fernandez represents Argentina in the Olympics right now. Argentina faltered in their first group game against Morocco, but Fernandez made history by scoring in their 3-1 triumph over Iraq. Many teams have taken notice of his outstanding accomplishments for club and nation. A summer relocation appears reasonable even if his contract calls for four years. Al-Qadsiah, a Saudi Pro League team, has previously tried to get Fernandez with an installment payment of $17 million. Though the player was willing to a transfer to the Middle East, Boca Juniors turned down this offer, unhappy with the conditions.

Arsenal under Mikel Arteta now show great interest in Fernandez. Seeking a young mate for Declan Rice, the Gunners want to improve their midfield. With the potential to become among the greatest in his position, Arsenal’s staff thinks Fernandez fits the description exactly. Arsenal’s apparent interest creates possible issues for Boca Juniors even though no official bid has been made yet.

Strategically, Arsenal’s addition of Fernandez might completely transform everything. The club’s midfield has required a dynamic midfielder able to break up play and make good transitions. Fernandez is a long-term investment because of his youth and aptitude. Should Arsenal land him, it may be the one that drives them toward Premier League excellence.

Arsenal intends not to allow Gabriel Jesus go. The Gunners want to retain the Brazilian striker even if the Saudi Pro League shows great interest. Seeking a greater position, Gabriel Jesus signed for Arsenal from Manchester City in 2022. Having 69 Arsenal appearances under his belt, he has scored 19 goals and given 15 assists.  There have been injuries throughout his Arsenal stay. He only played 27 league games last season, therefore accumulating fewer than 1,500 minutes on the field. Arsenal still appreciates his talents and adaptability nevertheless.

There are rumors of Arsenal buying a new striker, which begs doubts on the future of Gabriel Jesus. Arsenal, however, looks quite sure about their choice. His contract runs three years, hence they want him to remain. Mikel Arteta highly values his versatility to play in many offensive positions.  Al-Ahli, a Saudi team, has displayed curiosity over Gabriel Jesus. They may have Arsenal tempted financially. At Arsenal, Gabriel Jesus is content; yet, should he not earn regular starts—especially with new addition Kai Havertz in the mix—the circumstances might change.
