Chelsea Set To Resign This Player For £65 Million; Trouble For Arsenal

Given Dominic Solanke’s huge £65 million release clause, Chelsea’s intentions to re-sign him look dubious. Attracting interest from both Chelsea and Tottenham, the Bournemouth striker has a prohibitive price tag, so a summer transfer is improbable for the West London team. Following his January 2019 signing of Bournemouth from Liverpool, Solanke has rebuilt his career. Following a sluggish start, he started displaying the ability that distinguished him at Chelsea’s junior program. With 42 outings and four assists, the 26-year-old enjoyed his greatest campaign so far last season.

Chelsea Set To Resign This Player For £65 Million; Trouble For Arsenal

Chelsea makes logical interest in Solanke. Nicolas Jackson’s erratic performance throughout a season calls for a steady striker for the team. But the sharp release clause is a big obstacle, excluding Chelsea’s attempt to get Solanke returned to Stamford Bridge. Tottenham also expresses interest over Solanke. Spurs need a great striker after Harry Kane left leaving a noticeable void. Solanke may be a target given his performance. Still, Tottenham can deem his release clause to be a deal-breaker, same like Chelsea.

The present circumstances emphasizes how significant Solanke is because of his performance at Bournemouth. Clubs see his development and potential, but the expensive release clause hampers any possible relocation. From Arsenal’s standpoint, it’s some comfort to watch Chelsea and Tottenham struggle to get a striker like Solanke. Both teams are direct rivals, hence it’s excellent news for us Gooners that they can improve their teams. It gives Arsenal a little advantage while we try to strengthen our own offensive options.

Chelsea and maybe Tottenham’s price tag for Dominic Solanke is becoming too high. Although he is clearly talented, the financial barrier might keep him at Bournemouth for just now. For Arsenal, this might work to our benefit in the next campaign.

Arsenal is set to unleash €50,000 (£42,000) for Jules Kounde from Barcelona. They have been hunting this summer; while David Raya from Brentford is the sole confirmed addition, there is chatter of Riccardo Calafiori arriving shortly. Still, the Gunners have focused on Kounde. Mikel Arteta wants Kounde to tighten the Emirates’ backline. Showing his adaptability last season, Kounde played 29 times as right-back and 16 times as center-back for Barcelona. Arteta thinks Kounde may provide Arsenal’s defense much-needed depth and talent.

According to reports from Spain, Arsenal’s €50 million offer for Kounde might entices Barcelona. Although the Spanish team could use the funds to help with financial problems, losing a talent like Kounde is difficult to take. Barcelona won’t have it simple substituting someone of the same level for him. Although Kounde wants to remain and has showed delight at Barcelona, Arsenal is willing to sweeten the deal if necessary. They are ready to go above and beyond as they know of the intense rivalry for outstanding players.
